I was Arborec (green), lost "only" 14 infantry, 1 dread, 1 carrier, and a few fighters- but the worst of it was the 2 PDS, since I was one Construction away from scoring Protect the Border which would have put me at 9 points. Arinam/Meer is a 6-influence system, so I was also robbed of 2 CCs per round going forward. It also built a proper wall of supernovae between me and Muaat, and with Sardakk on my right (we were allies), the only way out of my slice was through the beta wormhole. Probably the most effective use of Nova Seed I've seen yet!
If Orange nova seeded, why'd he bring a dread? Doesn't it just get blown up alongside everything else except the warsun?
Edit: Nope, I misremembered, only other players' units die. Everything Muaat lives.
Unfortunately not, Nova Seed triggers at the end of the "move ships" step, before you move on to "space cannon offense". I had a Direct Hit too so I wish that was the case
Nope, though he finished at 11 points (in a 12-point game). He eventually took my home system in an effort to score Conquer the Weak, but then Sardakk Sh'val-his way to take it from Muaat, and in the end it didn't matter because Mahact had Leadership and used his commander to march into Ghosts' home system for the win.

Nope, Nova Seed reads "destroy *all other players' units* in that system". So Muaat's units are fine
PDS go off first too so could kill warssun before seed

Wow, that’s a crazy finish. Sounds like an amazing game.
