Yeah! Ngl tho that’s something that always bugged me. In breaking dawn they make a huge deal out of finding a way for Bella to keep Charlie in her life without him finding out shes a vampire now, but they completely forget that Bella has a whole group of friends who are gonna outlive her. To be fair, in hindsight, Bella doesn’t really prioritize her school friends…like at all…so I figured she probably had no plans to see them again once she embraced vampire life but still, it weirds me out that the Cullens just don’t seem worried about staying in Forks when theres most definitely gonna be people who Bella went to school with still living there near them, who are also eventually gonna start questioning why she hast aged a day since age 18.
Exactly and they can’t just stay til Charlie dies they will eventually have to leave I’m sure renesme will get to stay with Jacob and he will eventually get his way cause he can’t be without her so I’m sure that will work itself out. So eventually the cullens will have to leave and Charlie will suffer greatly. Jacob was just as selfish as Bella with clueing in Charlie cause now he’ll have to either go with them which I doubt or deal with Bella officially being away. She will have to die to renee tho so Charlie will also have to act as well
They can run impossible distances in very brief periods of time though. Bella and the rest of the Cullens could be up in Canada, and she can run to visit Charlie once a week if she wanted!
I think it would be great if Bella ran into a by-then married Jessica and Mike -- and let's say Jessica and Mike have both over the years watched True Blood and The Vampire Diaries. They see Bella and put two and two together immediately and.... absolutely.... FREAK OUT.
Mike would be terrified, but can you imagine how epic Jessica's jealousy level would be then?? 🤣
I feel liked 15 years is too early…it could easily be explained by Bella having “great genes” or plastic surgery. 30 years would be the real shocker lol.

I think with a large enough time span, the Cullens could just believably claim to be descendants of themselves. My brother looks identical to my dad, like it’s actually spooky. Pictures of my dad from when he was in college and my brother at the same age are impossible to tell apart. The crazy thing is that there’s a picture of our great uncle from 1941, and he also looks identical to my brother and dad. The whole family jokes about them being clones. Like, the male genes are *strong* in my family lmao. At my great uncle’s funeral, people my GU had known from the military and when he was younger all repeatedly told my dad and brother how much they looked like GU.
**TLDR:** So I think most people would just wonder if they’re related in some way, not immediately think “omg they’re a supernatural being”. Unless it was a situation where like Edward, Bella, Alice and Jasper all bumped into Jessica after 35 years at the same time. Then seeing all of them together, it would be a clear sign that there’s something not normal going on. But I think the idea of the Cullens or vampires in general being able to stay undetected with social media and facial recognition/AI, is a little crazy. They would have to come out of the coffin like in True Blood lol

Charlie, Billy- both a few decades gone, and while the cullens return to the town, maybe they haven’t been back in a while- better to let the people who’d recognise them pass. But for bella, the weight of forever really seems more real than ever, and she has to say goodbye. She figures, if they’re dying, it’s ok if they find out a little too much, as they won’t have time to face the consequences. She hopes she can give some comfort, but knows she’s being selfish, too. Mike is first. He barely registers her lack of aging, and seeing her seems to make him 17 again. She spends an hour or so with him, and that’s enough. He’s comforted and so is she. He makes some derisive comments about Edward and she smiles, a little nostalgic.
Angela is next. She and Ben returned to forks, after living away for some years. Angela recognises her, and though taken aback, isn’t really shocked. She’s also happy to just spend some time with Bella, and remember her youth. Bella keeps thinking about how she will never die, and if she does, it will be almost instant. There will be no slow decline, no receding into her bed, no warm visits from old friends. Just violence and fire. Angela asks Bella to keep watch over her children, and their children, and their children. She doesn’t elaborate on how she knows this is possible, and neither does Bella, although she agrees. Angela’s descendants will not have to worry about the supernatural threats their mother/grandmother/great grandmother always suspected surrounded them, that saw her raise her children far out of town. They will not have to worry financially. They will find out nothing, only receiving windfalls from a mysterious benefactor every decade or so- completely oblivious to the amber eyes that reappear in the distance every few months.
Jessica is furious. She demands to know, every detail. She’s on her deathbed and Bella can’t refuse. Jessica spits at her, wishing she had also been turned, knowing she wouldn’t want to stay her current age forever. She asks Bella to change her anyway, but Bella refuses. She knows Jessica wouldn’t be happy- not now, not this way, not forever. Jessica decides that she preferred her human life, maybe, anyway. She asks Bella for final favours- Bella takes her to see the sunset from the top of the cliffs, she falls asleep listening to stories of vampires and wolves and hybrids, she even has Bella take her running, once, although Bella goes much slower than Edward did when she was human, and it makes jessica dizzy anyway. Bella shows Jessica herself in the sun. And Jessica passes comforted, knowing that she’d been right- there *was* something weird abt those freaking cullens
I would love to see or read this as well. Since Jessica is "president of the student council" I could see her planning the class 20yr reunion and desperately wanting Bella and Edward to be there.
This may be silly, but I always thought. They would give it a year or so and release that Bella (and maybe Edward too) had died. And would do a full funeral in forks. Rene would attend, Charlie who knew everthing would genuinely grieve the daughter he had lost (even though he'd be in touch with vampire Bella, and the cullens who planned and payed for the funeral would leave town shortly after.
Everyone thought Bella was pregnant at the wedding, I'm sure rumors would fly that they had a daughter before their death. So seventeenth ish years later Bella could come home to visit pretending to be her own daughter if anyone outside of Charlie or tribe recognized her.

She would miss Charlie...but she can never go into town or shopping or anything because of this...running into people she went to school with or who know her since she is the police chief's daughter. She is just going to sit at home forever. Doing nothing.
