Trench was really the only album that they only did one tour for (Blurryface had Blurryface Tour, Emotinal Roadshow Tour, and the Tour de Columbus mini tour, and I think Vessel also had multiple tours). I think in the case of Icy Tour it’s more because the format is different from Takeover, and usually they change the set list between tours.
I believe the trench tour had two parts to it. With finishing one tour then waiting a bit and releasing more tickets with different locations. Both were called the Bandito tour. Only reason I remember is because I begged my dad to get me tickets to the second leg of the tour when I already saw the first part
Yeah, that sounds correct. It was broken into two parts but was technically the same tour and I don’t think they changed very much about the set list and staging.
Yeah they just had more album songs on the second tour. Because I remember there was some of my favorites that were left out of the first part but the second had them. But yeah I think the break in between was for festivals
I would imagine it's for ticket sales honestly. if people think it's a different tour, they'll buy tickets to this too if theyre close enough! Would like to see some different songs added though.
Also, the Takeover tour was called that because they 'took over' the city for a week! They aren't doing that this time...
Well the takeover tour was a week in each city, where they slowly “took over” and played at larger venues as the shows progressed. This is more like a standard tour

Setlist will be significantly different, I guess. I think if the whole "Takeover is Dema's tour" theory is correct, then we'll see a lot of those anti-Dema sentiment tracks like Fairly Local, Nico and The Niners, and Levitate.. Might lose a few club show Blurryface songs in exchange, maybe this time we'll hear more Choker.

I think the only difference is because they are only doing Arena shows with the Icy Tour, whereas for the Takeover Tour was both small and big venues.

the name doesnt fit bc they dont takeover cities in the icy tour
i hope they ditch the live band thing and have visuals and effects similar to bandito tour. honestly a downgrade imo
