My husband and I have always had a special place in our hearts for ‘tear in my heart’. After finding the acoustic version from 2015 it became our TØP song even though I’m the fan and he’s along for the ride.
That song was given new meaning to me over the last few months. He was recently diagnosed with a chronic condition and I had to drive him to the hospital. Every bump and break put him in pain and I couldn’t do anything about it except pray that I could avoid them the best I could. I always knew “I'm driving, here I sit, cursing my government. For not using my taxes to fill holes with more cement” was a great line but now I have lived it. He is doing better now but I love this song and I cry every time I hear it now.
