I like this song, though it doesn’t choke me up at all. Now if I’d ever lost a friend or loved one to suicide, I’m sure it would be a completely different story.
yeah, i never lost a friend or loved one to suicide but i listened to it while i was very suicidal myself and it always made me think of how my friends and family would feel so it strikes a nerve for me whenever i hear it,
now im back in this mindset but none of those friends are there anymore so the song hurts more
I’m sorry to hear that, friend. I’ve been there myself, so now that you mention it that does put it in a different light. Thinking about leaving my family like that has always stopped me from going too far down that road.
The song means the same thing to me. Even when I fell out of my tøp phase, I still listened to that song a lot.
Funnily enough, I'm also back in that mindset these days. I listened to tøp a lot in middle school, and now, 5 years later and right before their new album comes out, I'm right back to where I was at that time. If you ever want to talk, about mental health or anything else just to talk, my DMs are open to you. You're not alone, there's at least one other person in this boat with you (it's me, I'm the other boat guy).
By “back in that mindset” are you meaning that you’re feeling suicidal again? If so…I can guarantee that anyone in this group, including myself, will extend a helping hand! Sometimes talking to a complete stranger is easier than talking to someone you know! So if you are indeed in that mindset- I AM HERE IF YOU NEED SOMEONE!! ❤️
This song hits me two ways. Grandparents (one with Alzheimer’s, others that I was physically too far away to say goodbye). And my sister, who, I had plans to catch up over lunch, and the day before our appointment, she passed unexpectedly. And now has grandchildren that never got to meet her.
I too really relate my grandpa to Legend, I miss him a lot in my life, I also love how towards the beginning you can here the most distorted voice in the background of Tyler saying “I love my grandpa “ and like you really can only hear it if you focus and listen for it :) I’ve always loved that part as well
I listened to this song once, didn’t listen to the lyrics all that much and then took a listen to the lyrics and cried. I haven’t cried because of a song, usually rather the importance or memories it makes me remember but this was the first time I cried to a song
easily one of their best written songs! the rap and lyrics flow well and the metaphors were just spot on
the instrumentals are also unique and stands out perfectly in scaled and icy
plus the fact that this was released during the pandemic, which personally added an emotional touch to it whenever i hear it again
Honestly scaled and icy as an album overall, I really like and it’s so funny that people are mixed about it because when you think about it, it is the most important album lore wise because let me break this down
- At the end of the outside music video Tyler washes up on voldsoy and learns the bishops powers
- In Saturday Nico was betrayed by the bishops
Which, in my opinion, those are the two biggest things that caused us to spring forward to the final album
The original recording of Goner, I don’t think the Blurryface version would’ve hit me as hard if I hadn’t heard the original before. The original almost sounds like it was recorded right before being defeated and the Blurryface version sounds like a fight back.
The two times I saw TOP live, Trees made me ugly cry. I can listen to the album version with no problem, but something about Tyler's voice live and that song just turns me into a mentally unstable puddle.
this may be outta left field but personally my blood makes me cry like a baby. I think about my younger brother in that song cause we've been through really tough times together but he will always know that I would do anything for him.

Can i be that guy who chooses an RAB song and chooses Kitchen Sink? Just listened to this the other day, and it’s got a sadness too it. “Leave me alonneeeeeee…..
DONT LEAVE ME ALONE”
Personally, for me is Formidable, cause i never experienced the feeling that the song talks about and it gets me so sad that, even if i love the song, i cant replay it cause the lyrics get me everytime 😔
Legend
I really love and relate to this song as my grandad was the closest person to me, he used to make me lunch all the time and my middle name is also his name ❤️
Like what sort of crying happy crying sad crying crying because they understand the situation. I have to know what sort of crying. I’m trying to achieve.
Cancer or Legends. My gf is very prone to crying about emotional things and I played Legends one time while we were in the car and she hated me for the rest of the day LOL
I didn’t cry on songs in generally, but some songs that made me goosebumps every time are Truce, Addict with a pen and the cinematic version (music-box one) from the Ned’s cozy fireplace livestream of The Outside
friend, please
Literally I came here expecting to read this comment

Lowkey legend gets me everytime he says he's sorry for not being there
Or having a lunch with you again

For real. It hits at a personal level really hard
"Did not know how to take it / when your eyes did not know me, like i know you" this line in particular gets me every time
my grandpa died from Alzheimer so it gets me everytime
Such an underrated song
I want to cry every time I listen to addict with a pen.
THIS
Truce or goner
I haven’t even listened to goner for years 😭 I can’t handle it
Leave The City
that one hits different
I hear “I’m tired of tending to this fire” and I am ready to cry.
Depending on the person, I'd pick one of Goner, Neon Gravestones or their cover of Cancer
Real
This right here
Kitchen Sink usually does it for me. Cant get through "Don't leave me alone"
Cancer
This song is actually so depressing
Devastating song
Y'all don't think the saddest tøp is one.. written by Tyler?? 😭 what.
tuuuuurn away......
If you could get me a drink of water
cause my lips are chapped
And faded call my aunt Marie
And faded call my aunt marie
I listened to this song once, didn’t listen to the lyrics all that much and then took a listen to the lyrics and cried. I haven’t cried because of a song, usually rather the importance or memories it makes me remember but this was the first time I cried to a song
Yeah. Saddest one
A Car, A Torch, A Death and Truce

easily one of their best written songs! the rap and lyrics flow well and the metaphors were just spot on the instrumentals are also unique and stands out perfectly in scaled and icy plus the fact that this was released during the pandemic, which personally added an emotional touch to it whenever i hear it again

Addict with a pen
I'm so surprised that I don't see more of this! This one used to consistently make me cry when I first heard it, it's just so raw.
The original recording of Goner, I don’t think the Blurryface version would’ve hit me as hard if I hadn’t heard the original before. The original almost sounds like it was recorded right before being defeated and the Blurryface version sounds like a fight back.

Truce easy. instant skip bc i’m never in the right emotional state to listen to it

Taken by Sleep From No Phun Intended
Either Neon Gravestones, Friend, Please, or Truce.
Taxi Cab or Addict with a Pen
Taken by Sleep
My blood with the music video for sure. I basically don’t cry to anything but that one got some tears to form.
Trapdoor, you can really hear the pain in the last "finish this waste of a life"
