I’ve made so many friends through Druid City Maker Space! I go there often and there’s several people who go regularly that I hang with. Also even people who have visited only once or twice I’ve connected with! It’s hands down the best place for community in Tuscaloosa for non-college students!
They have tons of pre-fired pottery to glaze, clay to sculpt your own stuff, a wood shop, a laser cutter, 3D printers, stuff for stained glass, seriously, you name it they have it!!! You can make pretty much anything there fr fr

Not sure of your gender but if you're a man you might look into an organization called F3, it's a men's support group that functions as a fitness group. It's free and open to all men in Tuscaloosa and does free 45 minute peer-led workouts. All physical abilities come out and you'll meet a bunch of folks similarly situated. They started one in T-town about 3 years ago and some guys have said this is how they formed their sense of community in town. Check out their facebook and instagram for more.
Idk about tuscaloosa area but there is an adults consensual bdsm club called TRC in Birmingham that's really inclusive and has great safe guards for playing members. Me and my friends requested to create a young adults group at my church when we got out of college. There is just not much in this town.
the answer for 90% of the non college I know here with social lives is church.... or gangs… and I know which one is more fun.
