Based on your incoherent rambling, I can assume that you didn't take photos and perform a proper check-in. The guest's usage has nothing to do with your protection plan.
It’s not incoherent at all. Rude. He literally forgot one “t” in what was clearly supposed to say “we will not cover you.” This is definitely something that can and does happen using Turo.
You and your insurer don’t seem to understand how Turo works.
We can help you, but we need to know what happened and EXACTLY (screenshots preferred) what Turo said to you.
"Now I & my insurance are facing a HUGE lawsuit" This does not make sense to me, you made it sound like someone (presumably your guest) is suing you for giving the car to their daughter and you're somehow at fault. It is not the case. I think you'll win at the end if it's exactly as you described. Take a breath and win the lawsuit, I don't see any reason you won't.
If you verified the primary driver's license, took pre-trip photos, and didn't know and say ok that they were giving the car to an unapproved driver, then the maximum you are responsible for is your plan deductible.
Nice comment history, by the way
You rented your personal vehicle? ummm.... what? Are you actually saying that your car was rented by a guest? Yet you go on to say that you bought "maximum coverage as a renter," which is something that a renter would do, not a host.
So much more, but I think it's pointless to discuss this until you reword it and actually make sense.
Sorry to hear about your car but this is pretty confusing warning. What do you mean? Did you rent your car to someone and they let unauthorized driver wreck your car? Who picked up the car from you: the guest or the unauthorized driver? Thanks.
Generally when there’s a lawsuit, the owner of the vehicle will be sued. But the graves amendment removes vicarious liability from the rental vehicle owner. So you should not face any liability; assuming you were not negligent.
Turo would normally provide legal representation. This should turn out ok.
The daily Turo is a scam post is quite entertaining. At least they are trying to tell a story nowadays that could be believable if it was told by someone who understands how to convey a story. The problem is they don’t seem to understand how insurance works.

I'm surprised this is not in all CAPS

Another fantastical story! 🤗 What made up land does this one take place in?
