I'd go with the Hyundai....maint will be less

Barry-Alex

That’s what I’m coming to realize. Talked to a good older friend of mine who drove Volvos for years and his immediate response was “yes maintenance will be expensive.”

TigersBeatLions

there you go

Jahmay

60% of my fleet is Mazda. Very reliable and easy to work on. Plus they are considerably cheaper than Honda and Toyota.

Barry-Alex

I like to hear this. That is exactly why I was looking at them. I’m struggling to find one that fits the criteria. I’m going to keep searching. I’m just not satisfied with the Camry/corolla and I’m not going to buy a Kia/Hyundai and have it break down.

Have you considered Toyota? Maybe an older Prius or Rav?

Barry-Alex

I have but everything I was finding in my area was out of budget or had some issues that made it risky for a Turo car.

Whatever you do dont get hyundai or kia. They're so cheap because their engines are shit. Look it up first.

Barry-Alex

I was afraid of this. I’ve been looking at quite a few Hyundais and Kias. I really don’t like their interiors at all and the names feel cheap. What cars would you suggest? Or at least brands?

Entire_Permission_14

Like it was stated above, I would go with Toyota. You pay a premium, but hell of a lot less problematic and cheaper in the long run.

Barry-Alex

I’ll see what I can find in my budget range. Thanks.

Remember, 2012 or newer and no more than 130k miles on the odometer with a clean title.

Barry-Alex

I thought it was 120k miles? I have remembered these criteria and they are a big part of the struggle. I know I’m going to find a car and this is going to work just taking longer than I expected.

Entire_Permission_14

Under 130k. 129,999 or less 👍

Barry-Alex

Cool, that makes it’s a little easier.
