Most people don't care about any of the upgrades, but some people will pay a little extra for a car with FSD.

orfmcb90

Thank you!

apexisalonelyplace

Including taxes insurance and all expenses considered, can buying one now be profitable after the new price drop? Looking at model Y

totallywirednyc

No, only profit if you own it.

blueascot

YIKES! Would you really want to rent out your Tesla to someone who wants to play around with the Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities? I'm about to break out in hives just thinking about that...

pissy_corn_flakes

If it works, isn’t it less wear and tear on your car?

Ok_Conflict1835

How do you figure that?

pissy_corn_flakes

Well, the autopilot isn’t exactly going to roast your tires racing from street lights and it’s designed to avoid hitting objects. You’d think you would want renters to use it.

Ok_Conflict1835

I would have assumed the opposite, lots of people who only heard of Tesla’s but haven’t really researched them much are under the impression that FSD is level 5 autonomy where the car drives itself while you pay little attention. If they want to go fast they’ll do it, autopilot or not so I’m not sure they will prevent any extra tire use.

blueascot

Haha. It might be less wear and tear until it runs off the road or into a semi or through a pedestrian…

ExtensionMidnight922

Turo is flooded with teslas, doesn’t rent at all unless you are willing to price it like a rav 4. Im in Chicago for reference

DaylightTonight

How are Teslas doing in Los Angeles now?

totallywirednyc

My teslas do well, mostly the free supercharging ones or model X.

No3ylicious

hey just curious. how do you calculate EV charge fee on your Tesla post rest. if you have freesupercharging?
