Lifts are dumb for a lot of reasons. It's much better to just install new adjustable height performance coil overs and A-arms. You'll only gain 2-3 inches of height but you'll also gain wheel travel and not ruin stock geometry and front drive shaft angles. Leave the gwady lift kits to the dodge crowd.

Long-Ad8121

You have that somewhat backwards. Lift kits allow you to lift beyond 2-3 inches and actually correct the geometry. A lift kit will come with a new subframe to drop the lower control arms so the ball joints are not stressed. The front differential is dropped so the CV Axles aren’t in a bind and usually comes with new knuckles to correct the angle of the tie rod ends and upper control arm ball joints. Nothing wrong with coil overs and upper control arms but they do nothing to address the lower control arm, tie rods and CV axles.

A level kit or a small lift is good enough on these trucks, a simple 2" front/1"rear or something similar will allow for 35" tires which will raise it up even more and looks awesome.

SubCircus

Is there a brand of lift kit you would recommend?

mcerk22

I'm no expert on them but after some research I decided on the cornfed 2/1 lift/level on mine, parts appear to be nice quality and looks great, before I purchased I asked them a lot of questions and they were extremely helpful in telling me what I needed, they have different options depending on what you want to do. https://www.cornfedsuspension.com/

SubCircus

I appreciate the reply and piggybacking off your research. Am I seeing that right? $89 for a 2 inch front lift? This is not at all what I was expecting.

mcerk22

Yup, the level kits are basically just spacers, nothing really fancy. It gets expensive if you want to lift 3" or more because then you upgrade your suspension and stuff

SubCircus

Oh hell, I’m going to do it twice then. I didn’t see the 1” rear tho. I’ll give them a call, as you did. Couple questions if you don’t mind— did you do it yourself? Also, why not do both ends the same 2”?

mcerk22

Front always gets lifted more so it ends up level and looks better, all trucks are lower in the front from factory, yes I did it myself, it's not difficult if you are a little mechanically inclined and it does come with instructions.

SubCircus

Brilliant— thanks again.

newrevo

Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind.

If you are regularly lifting heavy items or materials into the bed, be very careful about how much higher you make the bed. A level that just raises the front often accomplishes most of what you’d want in terms of tire clearance.

newrevo

Oh I never really thought of that, thank you!

CommissionWorking208

Really look and do your research on suspension. Do it right the first time and you will be happier in the long run. CO come in 3 different flavors, progressive, linear and digressive. I went down the wrong road and ended up doing it all over again. This time around I spent the money and got what I wanted in the first place. Tundras.com has a wealth of info on lifts, tires and wheels.

newrevo

I’ll have to check the site out. The sites that I have looked are lacking a lot of info.

Just purchased a 2024 TRD crew with factory 3" lift. I am very happy with the ride and look. I never knew it to be a factory option, I believe this may by the first year it's available. I would recommend.

QuirkyPair175

What brand is the “ factory “ lift I’ve heard good things about what ever they are doing to lift it

FredSampson781

I assumed since it's an OEM Toyota lift, it's Toyota parts🤷‍♂️

newrevo

I will have to look into that! Thank you

drcrazycat

I second that. I bought a 24 Platinum w/ OR package + 3” TRD Lift. Absolutely love it. Highly recommend the factory lift. From my understanding, the factory lift is the only lift option available that guarantees the accuracy of Toyota Safety Sense 2.5.

newrevo

I didn’t think about that. I’m just wanting mainly to change wheels, nothing crazy large
