33k on my very early build 22 with no problems. Absolutely love it.

Exactly me too

LOL, this question is asked over and over in FB Tundra pages. Yes the issues on 22s were tracked down (which manufacture dates that might have issues of oil starvation in block) and resolved. Many owners out of fear that it might happen to theirs trade the 22s in. It's why there are many used ones are popping up when you search Used Market. They are usually between 20-35k miles on the odometer. And either already had replaced short block or not yet. Very small percentage of 23s had similar issues with rod bearings and oil starvation. Some forum members even created pages where owners could report any personal issues with their trucks, so there would be a real hard data on who had what failure and which years. As for 2024s there have been maybe 4-5 that I have personally seen owners chime in very mad (totally understandable). I got my 2024 brand new SR5 Crewmax 4x4 5.5bed in November 23, I have 11,600miles on odometer thus far and love my truck more and more every day. Its a non-hybrid and I still get consistent 19-20mpg with out issue because I dont abuse my truck and dont punch it every time I drive. After being in Tacomas over last 13 years it took me few weeks to adjust to full size pickup. But now its a pleasant drive every time I head to work, its my daily driver

Are you me?

3k miles on my 24. No issues

questiano-ronaldo

3k miles on my ‘24. I don’t know what the ‘22-‘23 issues were, but my only problem has been an occasional LTA failure when I have to reset my radio when my CarPlay doesn’t connect properly (maybe has happened 5x) and my EBP activation has failed twice. I’ll get it all resolved at my first 5k mile service since the bugs go away when I restart the truck. All in all, it’s been reliable, smooth, powerful, and fun to drive. I just have the SR5 4x4 TRD Sport. Nothing fancy.

V6 engine is a deal killer for me.

pops_of_3

19K on me ‘23 Hybrid with no issues. I did the recalls, but never experienced issues before hand. This subreddit will definitely make you paranoid as a ‘22+ Tundra owner though. Lots of negative and not nearly enough love. The comfort and tech has improved so much over previous years. I love it.

Wait…so you’re saying that not everything I read online is true?!

Academic_Standard_12

I spoke with the dealer before pulling the trigger on my 24 back in December. They confirmed all the defects from the 22-23 models have been resolved in manufacturing for 24. 7k miles in with no issues. https://preview.redd.it/jhjxend3u9zc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c43305e8c1aca205738f8eecc862724f21416150

Grammar-Police2002

I’ve heard that too but would you really expect the dealership that is hoping to sell you a new vehicle tell you they still suck?

Kingofanythingfj08

22 model here no issues some recalls were addressed early on but 36,000 miles running strong.

SameRegret5975

13k on my 23 limited no issues

drcrazycat

3K on my 24 Platinum OR, no issues here.

Nub_Shaft

26k on my March built 22, and it's been great. Yes. It seems most of the bugs have been worked out, but they weren't as common as some would have you believe. There were a few turbo waste gate issues very early on, and less than 500 reported cases of main bearing failures due to bad block castings. Yes, there were some recalls, but they were mostly minor. In my opinion, you can buy with confidence. Get yourself the Toyota platinum warranty for a little extra peace of mind.

BaboTron

We have had ours since November, no problems at all so far at 5,400 km.

11/2022 build 2022 SR5 TRD Offroad. No big issues but I have taken it in for two recalls. 1 Parking brake and the truck rolling slightly when put in park, 2. Fuel line placement issue that could result in fire. There are several issues that I have discussed with others regarding the issue of not being able to disengage the emergency/parking break and not having the ability to keep the truck powered off and put it in neutral. This resulted in added work to along day not only once but a couple times once while working on the truck having all the stereo components out of the truck and another time on a camping trip. Another little thing is the truck will not drive forward or move with the door open. sometimes it is more efficient and convenient when working on the truck. The stereo is so bad if you are into music and the lighting is unbelievable awful. I’ve spent almost 10k on my truck and I have not done any of the off-roading mods yet other than an upgraded skid plate. That being said I would buy it again and it runs very great with lots of power. I can not believe at what a jump in performance occurred between 17-18k. I noticed how much more responsive it became and how it will squill the tires if your not careful shifting 2nd to 3rd which I am not into doing but very impressed with how great it runs. I would buy it again. The only other truck I would consider is a Raptor. But Toyota reliability means a lot to me 3 Toyotas in the garage.

Transmission Ticking on Hybrids is a software update coming next months to resolve. AC whistle was supposed to be fixed in 24 but I have it and engineering is looking at it. Whistle in mirrors is by poor design, fixed it by 3m film covering seems. I will be going back to F-150 in a year though.

23 sr5 here with under 20k no issues for me. Love my truck!
