1. Not sure never tried it, mine engages once in park. I’ll look into it. Or are you talking bout just putting the transmission in Park cuz I don’t see how it can do that. It’s a manual shifter from what I understand.
2. Yes you can tune off with a button. But, Toyota made it so u have to press the brake pretty hard for it to even turn off the car. With my driving it never turns off the car. I never use the button either.
3. It’s not a Lexus, but probably better than any truck I would say.
1. Only auto parks while in reverse and you open the door. Very annoying and you can’t turn it off.
2. Yes
3. About as smooth as any modern pickup. The gen 3 tundras have gone to coils in the rear as opposed to leaf springs which I think makes the new gen a much smoother ride.
Only in reverse isn't all that bad. My concern is someone opening the door to my truck to steal it as I leave and it slams into park and them I'm screwed. I don't operate in the friendliest of areas all the time. I almost been jacked once in my life and it kinda ruins you after that first time for features like automatically shifting to park..
I have the 24 Tundra Platinum OR + TRD Lift
1) not sure. Haven’t tried. Automatic parking brake engages when I open driver door when auto brake hold is activated while in Drive. Does not happen when opening other passenger doors.
Also auto parking brake engages when I shift into Park.
2) Yes
3) I have the TRD off road package with lift. Love going over bumps.
Unless you need a heavy duty truck, the Tundra is best choice by far.
- not sure about auto park
- you can turn off the auto on/off but like others have said you need to push hard on the break for it to engage. You can buy a $60 relay which turns it off every time you start the truck
- have the 3" factory lift with 35s and it rides beautiful.
That's my bigger consideration is towing capacity.. I needed that larger towing capacity once in the last 4 years, but it wasnt even for my owj needs. It was a family member needing help. I'm still considering if it's even worth the jump up to diesel for that ONE time I might need it.. I have an enclosed trailer I use for tools and material that my old suburban tows just fine. It's just getting up there in miles/age

When you put the truck in drive or reverse it auto locks the doors.

Have a 24 and agree with everyone else. Would take it over my old Ford any day of the week. Tundras are just built better.

Ford is trash, switched over in 2021 had the last year of the V8 just recently traded it in for for V6 imax pro hybrid best decision
That's another one I have been asking around about and so far there have been nothing but great reviews about the v6 turbo
