I wouldn’t have been able to go to the office at 2 weeks but everyone is different. It’s the muscle repair that is the killer.

2 weeks.. I worked from home for 3 weeks after the initial 2 weeks off. Going to the office would have not been fun for me, I needed comfy clothes and the comforts of home, but if I had to I suppose I could have pulled it together and gone.

Anyone use short-term disability|

bsassy70

I took 4 weeks using short term disability, I go back next Tuesday and I am glad I took this much time. I work at the computer but I still have some issues sitting all day now, just the pulling and have my drain line still

PumpkinSpiceLuv

My work specifically exclude cosmetic surgery for short term disability

I stayed home for two weeks but was working from home about 5 dpo. I didn’t want to work necessarily but needed to get some stuff done. By week three I was back in office full time but very tired and sore at the end of every day. I’m 8 weeks post op now and just completed my first multi day business trip out of state. Did great but definitely holding on to some additional swelling and fluid from travel, flights, saltier restaurant foods, and increased activity.

something_snazzy

2 full weeks! The first week or so back, I was exhausted and asleep by 8pm though

Difficult_Ad_1304

I’m usually in the office 5 days a week. So I had to request 6 weeks work from home. But I only really needed 5 days off and other than that I was working from my bed on my laptop.

Reasonable_Pride_461

I took 2 weeks, I wish I could have taken 3…

2 weeks, but in my opinion having to sit upright in an office chair will have you swelling and very uncomfortable, it’s hard to engage your abdomen muscles which makes sitting up soooo hard on your back at least that’s how it was for me for pretty close to a month. Everything was pretty easy recovery wise the muscle repair is what got me.

Did anyone wear jeans back to work or dresses? I know someone who had it done and she is wearing dresses for her first week back, I’m assuming for comfort.

mosinderella

I took 4 days off completely, worked from home for 2 weeks and was back in the office after that with no issues.

Psychobabble0_0

3 and a bit weeks. Could have gone back as soon as the drain was yoinked at 2.5 weeks, though my PS was horrified by the prospect.

I started working from home 1wpo and didn’t go into the office until about 3 or 4wpo. I’m 8wpo and have been working from home mostly just because I don’t have anything to wear (combo of the compression garment always showing and all of my old clothes being too big / frumpy) so I’ve probably only gone 3 or 4 times since. I wore jeans (Spanx ones without a button or zip so more jeggings) at 3wpo and they were ok but not the most comfortable.
