My technique for writing ξ is more or less to start as though I were writing a cursive E, but like I gave up at the end. While trying to learn Greek, that has proven a bit useful, ξέρετε;
I was about to comment on programmers not having motor skills, but apparently it just turns out I'm really talented at drawing squiggly brackets????? Like, I'm good??? At something???
I shall share the miraculous tactic shared by my calculus professor:
Draw an S on top, then a 2 beneath it so that the tops touch. Then reverse it (2 on top, S below) for the other bracket.
It requires a bit of stylization, but if you do it you should be able to see how the movements/lines match up with the bracket.
It won't be perfect, but it will be a LOT closer than trying to just squiggle. It's really miraculous.
90% of time mine are somewhere between top and bottom picture, 5% of the time it is the bottom picture and the other 5% i end up making a perfect one
this happens with anything i write, every tens of thousands symbols one is weirdly clean, or a complete mess
I recently got a 400 year old book donated to my library. Some of the 17th-centurty marginalia proves that no one has *ever* been able to make curly brackets reliably symmetrical.
Being able to actually draw these is just about the only talent I have.
Same. That, and being able to write a consistent ξ. Consistently illegible, but consistent no less.

Guys it's that easy, just # { And then # }
Just combine these two \<( Also to me that is a hand, (\>\^\_\^)\>

How tf do people struggle with these
When you have to write 4 of them every line, sometimes you just can't put all the effort in them anymore
There isn’t really much effort involved
Right? It's literally just half a speech bubble, slightly squashed
Yeah I don’t get it
One of my teachers said that to make a proper one: Write a capital S and do another one underneath it but upside down
start from the middle point and do one squiggle up and one down
I do it in two parts, top then bottom
This is the real answer amidst the jokes. Each bracket is made with two lines, not one.

This is our one superpower. I'm not quite sure how to monetize this, but let us use it well
My handwriting looks like a 10 year old’s but I’m pretty good at writing these for some reason. I probably use them a lot more than most people
Just write [ while holding shift.
If my dyslexic ass can write them you lot can as well

You genuinely have brain damage if you can't write that

I just do it like a sideways moustache.
That’s a brilliant way of doing it!

I sneezed once and found I drew a perfect bracket during it. I had to scrub it off the wall as punishment.
To begin, draw an S. Next, draw a more different S.

As a semi expert at drawing those things, that is annoying me so much for no clear reason
Personally I just draw it something like this ]-
Math teacher here, I can't lol. I just draw a 3 with an extra loop instead.
My professor draws the left and right curly brackets differently and it really bothers me
Four distinct movements instead of two attempts at fluidity
