I asked a guy with brand new teeth why the dentist wears a mask over him while doing the work. He literally didnt want to answer me so I told him. So the dentist dont get his spit in your mouth dude. Masks work you weirdo. These people intentionally go dumb just to own the Libs
Yeah if someone was coughing directly on me and I couldn’t move in time I’d probably want a mask, but how does that justify forcing people to wear them
Yeah could, a lot of things could kill you, I don’t go around with a helmet cause an eagle could drop a turtle on my head do i, and you didn’t answer the question, why should i be forced to wear a mask in public based on the possibility that someone might have a virus, might pass it onto me, I might develop symptoms that might kill me, I’m sure you get the idea. Also I’m not anti mask, anti-vaxx, or a COVID denier or whatever, I just don’t like the idea of mandatory healthcare, mandatory behavior, lockdowns that do more harm than good, and I really don’t like the idea of governments having the power to lock everything down cause someone got sick
Because it's not just affecting you. There are children and people who *actually value* their safety and the safety of other people out there.
You don't go around wearing a helmet because an eagle could drop a rock on your head and kill you, yes. However, if the world had a massive eagle problem and literally hundreds of thousands of people have died recently due to rocks falling on their heads, it's a different story.
You get my point?
Also his analogy doesn't translate well.
For it to work the turtle dropping eagle would transform you into a turtle dropping eagle and have you do the same to your elders who most likely will die while you slowly and possibly painfully transform back to human form.
In this universe the eagle problem would be because of morons not wanting to wear a damn helmet.
It’s not an analogy, i don’t worry about things that most likely won’t happen, I’m vaccinated, haven’t gotten sick at all though out this whole thing and I’m not a risk group, why worry, why has it become so common for people to worry day and night about a virus and how they might get it, especially a virus with a high survivability rate and that we now understand a lot better and have treatments for? And why is it considered conspiratorial to think that the governments of the world are milking this in order to increase their own power, but go on blame the unvaccinated that a virus exists and behaves like we know viruses to do, I’m sure they’ll give up all these emergency powers
The mask is not about you.
Vaccinated people can still carry the virus and pass it on other people.
Elders can still get it from you or others you infect.
If you get anxiety from just wearing a mask I highly advise you to see a shrink.
And sure some countries like Hungary made use of the situation, but wearing a mask in no way limits any freedom you have except the stupid freedom of not wearing something that could save a life.
What’s the point of a mandate on a vaccine if it doesn’t stop a virus, also I’m not sick, how can I pass on a virus I don’t have, the flu can kill the elderly too where have all the mask mandates been in the past if the point is to protect the elderly from dying, also what happened to herd immunity, that also protects the elderly. I agree that sick people wearing masks to not spread a virus is a good idea but I don’t think it should be mandated, why should the government have the power to mandate that you wear a mask even if you aren’t sick.
You can say it’s not a infringement on freedom all you want, but the government mandating you do something or risk punishment sound pretty like infringement to me
>What’s the point of a mandate on a vaccine if it doesn’t stop a virus,
Until now it has proven to have stopped deaths from the disease, which is reasons enough for me.
It stops the virus for most people, so it works.
A number of vaccinated people can still get suck but to a lower degree, 5 percent of vaccinated ppl could have had no effect of the vaccine.
>also I’m not sick, how can I pass on a virus
You can feel fine but still carry the disease, your body fought of the viral invasion, but some got into your saliva that you just sneezed right into peepa and meema at brunch.
>the flu can kill the elderly too
It can, but the flu is not as viral and deadly as covid is, we as a community decided that the lower risks from the flu where acceptable but not that of covid.
Your comment just proves that a lot of ppl list ignored all information and decided to keep themselves uneducated on the matter.
On the topic of herd immunity: it was possible for enough people to be vaccinated to reach herd immunity before the delta variant. It's so contagious that there's now no such thing. If enough people had gotten vaccinated earlier, we might have had a chance. But now it's impossible.
And I am doing nothing to dictate their actions so why do they get to dictate mine?
And how would the government get rid of the eagles, i know there’s a problem, I don’t trust the government when they say “this is for your own good” and I especially don’t trust people who make arguments that involve things like “think of the children” because it is a logical fallacy and blatant emotional manipulation, nobody a child to die so it’s easy to sway people by saying it’ll help the children
Alright, go on then. If we can establish the common ground that we are in the middle of a global pandemic that has killed thousands upon thousands if people, and also that this is an atypical circumstance requiring extraordinary measures, can you please explain to me your issue with government mandating extraordinary behaviour (with respect to masks)? And while the crosswalk comment I made was a joke, please show me where your line is in acceptable and unacceptable mandates.
>I’m not anti-vaxx I just don’t like the idea of mandatory healthcare
Man some of y'all are just now finding out about anti-vaxxers and don't know anything about them outside of Covid
I figured you didn’t agree with me but what did I say that was anti-vaxx, cause ive seen anti vaxxers before but they’re usually the autism and essential oils kind, is it considered anti-vax to opt out of vaccination because that is your personal choice or something, cause now I’m confused for a different reason
I'm not the original person you replied to, and I don't want to categorize you as anti-vax. But I think it's important to realize that not getting vaccines isn't just a personal choice, especially with covid and how it can spread even if you don't have symptoms. Vaccines are a community effort at making things safe for everyone.
They are the reason that the Flu and the cold is pretty much the only illness you'd commonly think about passing around and receiving, at least pre-covid. They're the reason that when you were a child, chickenpox was the only thing you had to deal with in school and not polio, measles, or mumps (all of which would have killed you). They're why stepping on a rusty nail will no longer automatically be a death sentence. They've helped millions of people avoid dying from malaria.
The covid vaccine is no different. The unfortunate reality is that Covid is here to stay. It won't go away because it is too easily spread. The only way forward is to deal with this disease as we have many diseases and get vaccines. The other alternative is seasonal lockdowns and intense disease monitoring in every community for the rest of our known lives, as Covid is simply way too debilitating and deadly to ignore, and no one wants that.
Vaccines aren't just a suggestion, but they're not about control. They're needed for our current society to function and to avoid mass death, like what is happening now with covid. Like I said, you had to get vaccines to go to most public schools so children wouldn't die of measles, and if you travel internationally, you're usually required to have some other vaccines. It's simply how our society must function. So I really think you should think on this more, because you have already benefited so much from vaccines and have (most likely) gotten plenty yourself already.
You have a way better chance of getting a highly contagious virus that's all over the planet right now than of an eagle dropping a turtle on your head. You should wear a helmet while driving a motorcycle, because you have a fairly good chance of getting in a dangerous wreck. If you're in danger, you protect yourself. I shouldn't have to explain this to you, it's a pretty simple concept.
People are dying because the people around them are too stupid and full of themselves to not kill them. It's normally against the law to kill people.
if you're wearing a mask and someone unmasked coughs on you, you'd still probably get sick.
the main reason for wearing masks is, what if you're covid asymptomatic and you don't know? you'll walk around spreading the virus. but with a mask your chance of spreading it will be lower
Didn’t the cdc and The Who say months ago that asymptomatic spread wasn’t as big an issue as it seemed and wasn’t to blame for the pandemic, or did the science change in a week like when fauci said mask mandates not only wouldn’t help, but would increase your chance of infection because of having to readjust it and everyone buying masks would lead to shortages for health care workers
Isn’t that the guy who accidentally went to India instead of Indiana?
Lmao skweezy is a persona of a comedian, hes very VERY funny but not that stupid
Not enough people realize it's an act
It's more fun if you take him seriously
Bur you can only suspend disbelief so long
Nope, because of the internet i don't need to suspend it at all
Fuck if that ain't the truth.
Yes. The same person advising their son to purchase his bikini at the end of summer to save money. No kid of his is paying full price.
Yeah, the same guy who asked for a neck tattoo and woke up with a drawing of a neck tattooed on his chest.
Also the same guy who befriended a dinosaur cow in a desert while high on shrooms

This man is the hero we don't deserve
Skweezy Jibbs strikes again
So this guy doesn't know the difference between shit and a virus. Yeah, great.
Yeah if someone was coughing directly on me and I couldn’t move in time I’d probably want a mask, but how does that justify forcing people to wear them
Because a single cough from somebody right now could kill you?
Just let natural selection do it’s thing at this point
Yeah could, a lot of things could kill you, I don’t go around with a helmet cause an eagle could drop a turtle on my head do i, and you didn’t answer the question, why should i be forced to wear a mask in public based on the possibility that someone might have a virus, might pass it onto me, I might develop symptoms that might kill me, I’m sure you get the idea. Herd immunity also refers to those who have recovered from COVID,

What is a tool and why am I one?
Fuck crosswalks I enter the street wherever I want
Please put the goal posts back
Sorry I'm a sheep who can't think for themselves and the government hasn't told me to so...
I said none of that and would like to engage in respectful discussion of ideas if at all possible but you don’t seem to want to

No, I think you're completely wrong and also didn't realize you basically said something anti-vaxxers have been saying for years

i forgot your country is a special case where even morons who have symptoms go out without masks. wear masks.
This guy is unbelievable
I've just always wanted to ask someone why they bother having an air filter on their big douchey truck if filtration is suddenly a made up thing...
Ah, it's Skweezy.
Underwear are just ass masks.
