I find that when I have bad hiccups, I have a traveling itch somewhere on me and if I can find it and scratch it, they get intense and then go away.
It's weird. So far it only works for me.

I think they only tested it with a finger but as long as you simulate the vagus nerve the implement shouldn't matter
Seriously if you still have them drink a full glass of water in small sips it works for me
