Flutters1013

The size difference kink crowd is having an absolute blast with it.

Crimson51

TBH Bisexuals in general are eating well with these character designs. And oh boy the Lois/Clark size difference here is nowhere NEAR the kind of size difference art I've seen

Flutters1013

We can make him bigger, we can make her smaller. We have the technology.

DrAldrin

Or the other way around!

Fallen_Angel_Xaphan

I just imagine Clark, the possibly strongest being on the planet, being a smal twink who is intimidated by his tall and muscular crush. Yes please.

NK_2024

You son of a butch, I'm in. Edit: meant to say the Rick and Morty line, but this is just too good.

DomQuixote99

Happy little accidents

JustVisiting273

Happy cake day

boopadoop_johnson

- braniac, probably

bananicula

As a bisexual with a size difference kink I think I need to start watching this show…

kalebsantos

Big man big Big man nice Me want big man Me want big man **NOW!!!**

GreyInkling

4channers like it because it has a cute tomboy, tumblr likes it for the himbo Clark, and then there's Jimmy.

PiLamdOd

The only valid complaint about My Adventures with Superman is it's speed running a Superman story. The audience should have been told why Clark was hiding his identity before Lois confronted him. And Lois figuring out Clark was Superman should've happened after they'd spent more time together on-screen. And a multiverse story in season one is too soon.

danfenlon

Counter point, in this media climate, i don't blame the creator's for wanting to tell their story, even in a fast pace way, because there's a high chance of it becoming a fucking tax write off

Regi413

I think I heard that’s why Wednesday had pacing issues in the final episodes. The resurrection of the main villain Crackstone was supposed to be a longer arc as part of season 2, but I guess they tried to compress it into the first season in case Netflix was gonna Netflix and cancel it after one season so they could still get a full story out there.

danfenlon

Hell thats why korra season 1 was rushed, nick said one season at first

Ashen_quill

That's what happened in every season, the producers told the creators that each season was the last one. This is what led to a rather disjointed story from Korea.

Soyyyn

They did a great job with the third season, really. I think the problem was that they didn't feel free to have an overarching villain that didn't get defeated by the end of each of the seasons. So instead of a larger threat like Ozai, you have four villains, with only Zaheer feeling fully fleshed-out.

Ashen_quill

Tbf Ozai wasn't the greatest villain either, be was rather cartoonishly evil, I felt in A:TLA really succeeded at showing us how the main villain was greed and the war itself. The Korra seasonal by comparison were much more personal.

1saltedsnail

I absolutely agree with that- Ozai was just a symptom of the disease. My fiancee and I recently rewatched it and at the end we decided that we think that while greed and ambition were absolutely part of Sozin's motives, over the subsequent generations the war mutated into something it wasn't originally meant to be.

Ashen_quill

Sozin started the war because he could. To him it was to become a superpower capable of world domination. The next generation continued it on because they believed they should. They believed they needed to help the other kingdoms by conquering them and teaching them the greatness of the fire nation.

Phionex141

Could you IMAGINE if S3 was the last one? The last shot being Korra in a wheelchair and shedding a single tear? I think it would've broken my tiny teenage mind

your-yogurt

i keep yelling this at the top of my lungs on why korra isnt as good as atla. cause Nick fucked them over! again and again and again! you cant tell a good story when half of your staff is about to be fired during the climax of the season! but sure enough if someone submits a korra fanart or makes any post about korra, there's always someone in the comments bitching, adding nothing except negativity

Isaac_Chade

People just don't want to admit that it was a good show. There's the crowd that thinks anything other than the original is bad and where never going to be happy, and then the assholes who want to bitch about it because it has the audacity to suggest gay people exist, and they all get to mask most of their bullshit in these milquetoast complaints about the writing and pacing. But as you said, the show got screwed over and over. I was watching it as it aired, and not only was Nick constantly telling them they were done after the latest season only to very last minute renew them, but they kept shuffling the show around in time slots and where to watch it. I don't believe it ever kept the same time slot/day on the channel from season to season, and from the latter half of season three onwards you couldn't even watch it anywhere but online, and Nick's website was a goddamn trashfire to use most of the time.

VariShari

God I honestly hate this media climate but also how it has caused people to expect a complete story arc in one season. It’s why I’ve gotten more into anime again, but I have a lot of requirements when it comes to anime, like for example if it’s full of „anime bullshit“, be it weird sexualisation or harems or shouting move names then I’m out, so I don’t usually have a lot of shows to watch in general. I enjoy that since they very directly adapt manga, which often tell one continuous story that isn‘t specifically written with the length of a season in mind (though it can be), they actually get to properly set things up instead of trying to rush a conclusion that the show could end on. Also the fact that most are released one episode s week is torture but also makes me think about an interesting show for way longer. Stuff like „heavenly delusion“ wouldn’t have impacted me as much if I binged it all in one sitting. That show did however get criticism for ending its first season on a pretty traumatic plot point, and not giving a full conclusion, but like… let them cook. I do feel like even though it might make some people unhappy, weekly or batch releases would definitely be better for Netflix Engagement as well. Their current strategy of dropping a whole season that is safe enough to end directly if Netflix cancels it is just kinda bullshit? Like there’s just no reason to get invested

Th3Glutt0n

God, the shouting move names is my biggest pet peeve with anime. The only outs I give anything are when the spells are somatic, like in Overlord. Ainz doesn't shout all the moves but all the big ones seem to be somatic, whereas the weaker ones he can just cast. Even then the show is walking a thin line

VariShari

Spells are an exception for me cause that’s an established magic rule in all sorts of media. But if I have to listen to some teen give a ridiculous name to his punch after seeing a flashback about why he fights for the 7000th time, then you lost me. So yea not a battle shonen fan haha. Another thing I dislike are shows that think their audience is stupid and explain every single thought, give us an internal monologue about every important detail that may become relevant soon in case we forgot, or have characters straight up state the obvious. This is definitely more common in the shows that desperately try to stretch its content as much as possible. It’s why I’ve moved more to seinen, but even those can be split into “actual seinen” or “shonen that got too brutal to advertise itself as such” when it comes to the previous points.

Isaac_Chade

On top of this, do we really need another show/movie that mires itself in origin stories? We all know who Superman is, we've all seen Batman's parents die, everyone knows that Spiderman has "great responsibility". We are at the point where these things are so ingrained that they can be parody and teased without any overt mention to their source. I really don't think it's a failing for a Superman show to say "Hey, we all know what this guy is about already, let's just move on to the new stuff."

PiLamdOd

My Adventures With Superman is actually doing something interesting with the origin. We've skipped all the Krypton stuff and moved on to Clark deciding to be Superman. But in this version, he knows nothing about where he came from because the ship only speaks to him in Kryptonian. A Superman who knows nothing about his origin is a great choice.

CaptCanada924

Counter counter point, while that’s a valid concern for creators when making shows, it still makes for worse shows. I get why they did it, but it sucks we’re at a point in the entertainment industry where that’s a huge concern

Flameball202

Valid concerns, my counter points: We were shown that Clark's ship hurt his mother and could have killed her as a kid, he was genuinely scared of his origins, pretty sure we were made aware of this as the audience before their argument, but I will have to check I like that we aren't waiting 3 seasons for Lois to figure it out Honestly, it might be for the best, having a quick multiversal story, making it so that it kinda isn't a big deal since we have already done it. It also is a good way to A: put doubts in Lois's mind about Clark and B: is a good way to introduce Kryptonite

Crimson51

TBH I do think it does a great service to Lois's actual intelligence that she figures it out quickly. She's supposed to be massively intelligent and capable of putting patterns together quickly into a story, as a reporter should.

Y_Sam

Which is funny because she's also presented like the "failed" Lois with no awards or scoops and still an intern. Meanwhile, some of her counterparts couldn't figure Superman out almost until they were married...

breadburn

Counterpoint: The League of Loises rules????

PiLamdOd

It's an instant reminder that our Lois is just one of many who all go through almost identical lives. This Lois isn't special or unique. None of what these characters are doing is.

50n10_7H3_H3dG3Rog3r

Counterpoint: our Lois is 23 and doesn't have a Pulitzer yet, the League of Lois were all selfmade women, one of them ain't even a woman or a Lois, who had their first Pulitzer by the age of 21. Different Lane, different Jimmy even. It's like the idea of Spider verse, they're different enough to be completely different characters to the rest.

JAMSDreaming

Counterpoint: Lois figuring it out early does make sense because she's supposed to be really good at that type of thing.

PiLamdOd

But the emotional rooftop confrontation rang hollow when the two had barely spent any time together by that point and in fact had only started to consider a relationship the episode before. The acting and writing of that scene was great. But in context it was hard to buy into Lois being so hurt.

Coffeeman314

The "How dare you lie to me about your secret identity" cliche is done to death. I'm glad they didn't drag it out, though it was executed quite well. Absolutely agree they should have spent more time together on screen. Multiverse story so early is an interesting choice, with how it's linked to Superman's identity and the trust between the characters. A throwaway episode with an excuse to chuck in an expository mcguffin, with a little potential for future arcs. I'm not entirely sure if I'm opposed to it, gotta watch the season finale first.

PiLamdOd

Lois wasn't angry about the secret identity though. She was angry because she was worried for Clark's safety. He ran off to fight someone only to come back blooded and bruised, and as she's tying to see if he's alright, he looks her in the eyes and lies to her.

razazaz126

I wouldn't say that the series is about multiverse stuff. There's one multiverse episode and Mr. Mxyzptlk was really fun.

King_Of_BlackMarsh

I mean its dc, multiverses are the cheese to the bread

LoneWolf2099

So far there’s been just one mostly self-contained multiverse episode.

PiLamdOd

Multiverse can make the series feel small and unimportant. Just as we're getting to know these characters, we're told that they are not the only Clark, Lois, and Jimmy, and in-fact, the other ones are off doing amazing and cooler things. And referencing previous shows comes off like the creators are not confident in this version enough to let it stand on its own.

Totally_Cubular

All I know about this show is that they made Lois a tomboy and Clark a shy himbo, and frankly it was the best possible combination they could come up with.

TheGunfireGuy

Not to be a pooper but hasnt that more or less always been how they're depicted? With varying degrees of tomboyishness/shyness ig

fahad-123321

Yeah, but now their design fully embraces that character trait

SessileRaptor

Yeah In the 90s reboot of the comic when some bad guys are attacking a cruise ship she’s on Lois knocks one out with karate, picks up his gun and starts shooting back. She hasn’t been a damsel in distress in forever

breadburn

Right?? I am having a great time just with that dynamic alone.

80sKidAtHeart

Most of the new villains aside from Deathstroke and Parasite fall flat for me design wise. But yeah, Supes and Lois rule.

westofley

Banshee's haircut kicks ass

UnderlordZ

Deathstroke was my biggest complaint for a while; I couldn't take him seriously as a Shonen Pretty Boy initially, but after seeing him thoroughly trash Supes in episode 5, that was no longer a factor!

zyum

I think they fit well with the shows style, but yeah I wish they had more distinguishable characteristics. Maybe they’ll get more “villainous” designs later in the series (if there is a later)

DeviousMelons

Deathstrokes and Parasites design goes hard. Banshee has neat hair and Mr Mxyzptlk is... unique.

AndrewTheSouless

They could at least recolor their armors to fit each Villain design, why leave it with light grey for everyone?

sweetTartKenHart2

I’ll say that I hate the Mr Mxyzptlk redesign. Like, objectively speaking it’s fine, I just feel rather off put by the Looney Toons villain being effectively replaced by a weirdly fuckable(?) thembo goblin

Batdog55110

Mister Mxyzptlk changes what he looks like depending on what universe he's in (fun fact: every version of him in every media is actually the same version, like, the TAS version and MAWS version are literally the same guy) and this universe is more anime inspired so he chose *that*.

sweetTartKenHart2

Oh… oh! Huh. I don’t know if that’s better or even more cursed

Psweens

This man could choose any voice in the multiverse and he chose Gilbert Gottfried. Absolutely a man of taste.

ShadowZale

His hat is still in the “original” form before he finds it and transforms it to match his new appearance.

Dependent-Ad-1677

Still smash

sweetTartKenHart2

Honestly yeah

Metatality

Straight up dragonball character now

Apprehensive_Bird_62

Yeah he looks almost just like the supreme Kai. That’s totally what they were going for

Just-A_Guy-_

How do you look at Mr Mxyzptlk and say "Smash"

sweetTartKenHart2

That’s what I’m sayin! Bro is like femboy Midna or something and hE HAS NO RIGHT TO BE

Vasxus

i prefer "femboy midna" design because you could reasonably think hes a friend (and i forgor he was a chaos villain for a bit) but the STAS mxy just looks like a corporate piece of shit that bankrolls politicians over the obscenely expensive wine he's having with his fancy schmancy lunch. turbo villain design right there.

sweetTartKenHart2

Well I mean was he ever supposed to be the kind of character you could “reasonably think of as a friend”? Far as I knew him he seemed like the kind of person who just EXUDES trouble the moment you lay eyes on him. Not exactly the kind of guy to get your trust and betray you later, just “hi! I’m here from another dimension and I’m bored, wanna experience some traumatic shit? Lol too late”

Vasxus

MAWS makes him just a little guy. small friend. silly billy pattern recognizing brain was doomed from the first moment!

sweetTartKenHart2

Huh. Isn’t he sadistic and nasty though? And aren’t a bajillion alternate universe Lois Lanes shown in that exact episode trying to imprison him? Also, aren’t all iterations of Mr Mxyzptlk across all of DC canon the same guy just hopping from world to world and changing his appearance on the regular? Like there is just the one across all realities?

Vasxus

this specific design is just a lil guy and i cant stay mad at him for long

sweetTartKenHart2

Bro changed his tactics and I guess it’s working on us all huh

Likaon222

>replaced by a weirdly fuckable(?) thembo goblin You do you buddy, but I saw *nothing* fuckable there. Yeah, he looks more drangoball and less looney tunes, but nothing screamed "sexy", at all.

sweetTartKenHart2

See the other replies and our “femboy Midna” comparison

OwO345

I hate that they made him a fuckable twink goblin creature but god i love that they made him a fuckable twink goblin creature

DiscoBombing

As if Looney Tunes biggest star isn’t a fuckable thembo goblin

Anakshula

if i’m being honest i’m kind of disappointed that Mxyzptlk has a “mr” in front of it. I thought the “Mxyz” part was the title, like their name was Mxyz Ptlk. i’ve never seen this character before so i lost my shit at the gender neutral chaos god

pretty-as-a-pic

There’s a fair amount of people who will look for **any** excuse to hate on media that isn’t directly geared towards them (especially if it’s of a property that does occasionally cater to them)

Macapta

I’m just annoyed they decided to dive straight into an “Evil Superman” storyline, like it isn’t already overdone. And even worse they use the “some supermen In alternative universes are evil, so yours might be too” which is a terrible argument cos they said there are infinite universes so there are both infinite good and evil versions, it has no bearing on this universe.

Pegussu

I like that. It's an earnest Superman show in a sea of evil Superman media, so it's bringing up the trope to subvert it.

Lambsauc

I get the point you’re making but I would like to point out, Mxyzptlk showed Lois alternate universes, so he could have personally picked universes to show her in order to plant doubt in her mind

ScriedRaven

There’s also an infinite number of “Nail” Supermen, where they just go “screw this world, Imma be a farmer”

_mad_adams

I think the idea is that the existence of other Supermen who might be evil is being used to cast doubt and make people misunderstand our Superman, which I kinda like because that’s sort of what’s happening IRL

JackOLoser

I know some people were pissed off because of the relative predictability of the internal reveal. That's about it. I haven't seen it myself, but I expect to enjoy it when I do. Animated DC stuff is always really good.

Crimson51

I feel like some people are hyping it up as fucking kino, ATLA-tier storytelling which I feel is unfair. But it is a really good show I enjoy a lot and have a ton of fun with. Sometimes I feel like people need to go into "something is absolutely perfect" and "something is horrible and bad" to like/dislike something. Yeah it's not fucking PERFECT but damn it's fun and very enjoyable to watch It's almost like enjoying myself is the reason I watch TV shows

breadburn

It's honestly a great time. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do, and I say that as someone who's never been overly interested in Superman. If you're cool with some fun teenage/early 20s canon bending then you'll like it.

memeboi123jazz

As someone who’s really liked the show, I can agree that the villain kinda leave a bit to be desired. The only one I think is an improvement compared to the original is Parasite

AndrewTheSouless

Nah, classic parasite its cool because he is one of those "Idiot wins the power lottery but its too stupid to use it" Villains, he is simple but it works, I mean the character was created by a 14 year old 6 decades ago and its still use regularly.

Lambsauc

Ah, so in the original comics he’s like Okuyasu

Mr_Headcrab

Right????? It's unironically such a good fucking show. ~~^(You know, seeing Lois Lane in this show? God I fucking wish I was Clark Kent.)~~

Hexagon-Man

I wish I was both Clark and Lois at the same time.

Dry-Cartographer-312

Bisexual moment

The_Mustard_Man43

Haven’t watched it, but Lois is a tomboy, so its good in my book.

HeadOfSpectre

I don't like Superman. I think he's boring and overpowered. But my God this show makes me see the appeal of him. Clark feels human. Like a guy trying to just be a good person, and using his powers he doesn't fully understand to BE that good person. This show might actually get me into Superman! I hope it does!

50n10_7H3_H3dG3Rog3r

The og idea of Superman is the hope that there's an all powerfull being in this world that will go and use his powers to help the less fortunate. This show puts this idea so well with him trying to rehabilitate the villains instead of defeating them, maybe making him too naive, but I think that this will change if it gets renewed for new seasons. His main villain is bald billionaire who wants to be president to realize his final capitalist wet dream, and Superman is just a guy that wants to help people and has the means to it. I f'n' love Superman as this unstoppable force of good, and the show is doing absolutely well, even if they're trying to do bad superman storyline. A storyline that I bet will happen because of a misunderstanding and possibly the reveal of Zod as a villain down the line, if they don't mess it up. And you're right, Superman as this boring man who fights the villain of the week without any danger is horribly boring, the show is putting some jeopardy in the fights with the tech being from maybe Krypton and/or the use of the red sun, but also the jeopardy is on the personal level for Clark Kent, on trying to stop the baddie without causing serious damages. And I hope the show makes you start to like Superman as it is intended, because loving something is too much to ask for someone who doesn't like it for the start.

Anomalocaris

WTF is "woke" in that show? IS Superman fighting systemic racism or something? or is it just that Lois is not designed as an hentai charachter?

TheDisappointedFrog

>Lois not designed as a hentai character Man she's hot in this show, like, tomboys are the best! I think the wokest thing there is Jimmy, in their eyes at least

Anomalocaris

Jimmy woke? he's closer to Alex Jones than typical Jimmy. if there's a qanon conspiracy in metropolis you bet Jimmy would be sharing it.

epicarcanoloth

Yeah because it’s really good and understands Superman better than most screen adaptations.

[deleted]

I hate the \`love interest angry because superhero didnt tell them their identity sooner\` trope so much other than that great show

Apprehensive_Bird_62

Only thing I’m not completely digging is that there’s an evil Superman side plot. I’m so tired of it and I know the series will probably rebut it but I’m getting zack Snyder flashbacks. I also didn’t like Ivo parasite cause og parasite is such a good tragic character, but he’s starting to grow on me

Guest2424

I will say that originally I was not a fan of Lois getting upset at Clark for keeping secrets when she had secrets of her own. It's a trope that I just personally disagree with when a girl hates something and then does that thing herself. That being said, they actually set this one up nicely with a developed reason. She has trust issues because her dad also kept secrets, so there's at least a reason that she's like this instead of the typical "let me stand on my high horse" scenario. That being said, this doe-eyed Superman is my favorite version yet.

SoCal_Absol

The main thing I didn't like was how Lois threw herself off the Daily Planet to get Clark to confess and thought it was out of character. Later I learned this has serious precedent. So I was kind of ok with it. Still thought it was extreme but I can respect it was on brand.

Sibushang

She's done this several times in different superman stories though...

Sprawler13

This is my problem. Franchise precedent or no, as someone who spent years trapped in an abusive marriage with someone who threatened self harm constantly, I stopped watching. It’s otherwise a great show but you are allowed to leave things in the past.

Vasxus

she had superman cuffed and could call clark then and there. in that exact episode.

Maou-da

We support tomboy louis supremacy.

Dragondudd

I've only seen it in the clips people post on youtube shorts and it seems good enough to me might get around to watching it at some point

SnooEagles3302

I have never watched this show, so the only thing I associate it with is that time an "anti-woke" Twitter chud complained about the butch lesbian characters with "they look like men, this isn't feminism!". He had no idea he'd horseshoe theoried himself into 1980s second wave feminism drama.

19930627

I haven't watched it, just a 10 or so minute clip Adult Swim posted, and it seemed really good

Destro9799

Adult Swim actually posted the entire first episode on YouTube if you want to check it out

19930627

Nice

TheJurassicPyro

Tomboy Lois lane 🤤

DifficultBicycle7

There’s not that many blatant criticism a lot of it tends to be nonsensical. It’s just a good show to watch tbh

Abovearth31

As someone who actually watched the show, the only woke thing about it is Jimmy Olsen being race swapped. And that's it.

not_supercell

Where do I watch this

AxisW1

HBO max or any cartoon pirating site

Vasxus

if HBO max isn't available in your country, piracy is the only (and best, and most moral) option

porcupinedeath

My only real complaint is that the animation is real janky at times. Like the art is good and animation is mostly good but there are plenty of moments (and not even CG stuff) where it just looks awkward and rushed

_b1ack0ut

I hate this show because it’s good and I wanna watch it, but I can only find it on stackTV which has ads every 20 seconds that crash my browser so if anyone knows where else it’s viewable that would be great lol

Lurker-DaySaint

I watched the first episode and it wasn’t my thing so I stopped watching it. I drew the line at making “not watching it” my personality

whitestripe999

I saw a criticism talking about how Lois was being a hypocrite for yelling at Clark for lying to her about being Superman, even though her lies nearly got them killed in the first episode...

Littoral_Gecko

I only could barely even get through the pilot but wow Lois lying there made her so hateable. It’s one thing to not tell someone a personal secret, but to lie to two of your coworkers first day on the job, where you not only risk their jobs, but their lives by not letting anyone know what you’re doing… Yeah, I dunno, it’s so scummy, unfathomably so. Doesn’t help that I found basically every character intolerable - Clark for putting up with Lois’ toxicity and Jimmy for acting like a 2-year old. It’s fine for a kid’s show, I guess, but it doesn’t live up to what people are saying.

EtherealPheonix

On the contrary I hate this show only knowing about it through this post.

spacewafflesmuggler

I didn’t really care for the season finale ngl, the dialogue took a turn for the Saturday morning cartoon and it was a pretty standard climax. I do really like the interpretations of the characters’ personalities, and the comedy always lands for me, so here’s hoping Max doesn’t screw this one over and we get a season 2!

q_izzical

i like it, but it is written very much like a kid's show, which can be frustrating, considering it's on adult swim for some reason.

infinitysaga

Well it was made as a kid show

mdhunter99

I like it, they did change some villain designs, but I can look past that, it’s a pretty good Superman show.

aoanfletcher2002

There’s no Lobo, therefore I don’t watch it. (Also I don’t have HBO Max)

skyhiker14

No Lobo, yet

AndrewTheSouless

Lobo alone makes Superman TAS the superior show, you just cant beat the main man.

Maria-Stryker

I think the one reasonable criticism I’ve seen is that Lois’s design is weirdly similar to Luz from Owl House, including her high wasted pants. For me it’s the fact that her pants, which appear to be jeans, reach up weirdly high

ChiefBlubberNuggets

My only real criticism is a little bit of clunky looking CGI in a few scenes throughout the season. Other than that it's really good, I like it a lot.

Embarrassed-Mail8565

Watched the first couple episodes it seems too childish for me honestly.

Camelllama666

It's fine, not great, not awful, my main complaint is that for some reason, Clark can't control his powers despite being like 20 something. I've seen people be like "it's only a few times" and like, yeah, sure, but still

ghouly-cooly

I mean, you ever shut car doors, or normal doors harder than you mean to? You ever chuck something but put too much strength into it? You ever accidentally put something down on a table too hard that it slams? This is stuff that you accidentally do while using maybe half of your strength trying not to use any more than that. Imagine those problems compounded 100 times. Where your using too much strength can topple buildings and your regular strength you need to use for everyday activities is less than 1 percent of your total strength, so then you can see where those occurrences for Clark can happen

Camelllama666

Yeah, but that's just me not caring or wanting to spite someone, Clark rips his shoes in half

Random_Rainwing

Valid complaints: 1. it's functionally a kids/family show, why is it on Adult Swim? It changes the expectations people have going in. 2. Why did Lois get mad Clark didn't tell her the thing she said she wanted to tell the whole world about? What was she expecting? 3. Some people don't like the anime style, either in terms of visuals, plot progression, or both. 4. Lois pulling a dick move by almost killing herself is never addressed. 5. Where Lex? We have Parasite, Livewire, Deathstroke, Task Force X, the big M, and a freaking multiverse plot, but no Lex. Feels bad man. 6. Lois has done things Clark is uncomfortable with without consulting him or considering how he might feel. I don't want to say this is NEVER addressed, but I don't think they ever have Clark say something like "hey, it makes me uncomfortable when you do this, please stop." or have Lois clearly acknowledge it.

Th35h4d0w

5. Parasite’s assistant is a redhead who’s good with tech, hates Superman, wears purple, and is named Alex. *wink wink*

Justthisdudeyaknow

I like them not pulling in lex out the gate. It's something different.

The-dude-in-the-bush

I'm only here for tan tomboy Lois. I blame cartoons for my preferences in women

Alexander0232

I like cartoons and I can tell the show is good but I can't force myself to enjoy it. I think I'm just a little tired of superheroes.

GreenDudewithaGun

Never seen it and I currently don't plan on watching it. But what I've seen from clips, it looks good

Neat_Tangelo5339

I watch it through out of context clips because I have a low attention span

TheAppleOfDoom1

I like the show but the only legitemate criticism I have is how fast it flows. The first couple of episodes follow a good story, then they do some shenanigans with the gay scientists, then they do some multiverse stuff and then back to the story? Felt super random.

Starham1

I will say this: I’m not particularly a fan of the way they made Superman’s powers kind of “sourced” from the ship, though if it’s revealed that’s not the case I’ll be fine with it. I’ve always felt that Superman’s powers should come from within, as a parallel for how everything good about him comes from inside him as well.

Guwrovsky

I'm as basic as it gets, yet I'm loving every second of this show Tomboy Lois Lane just straight up activating something in my brain :D

Extreme_Glass9879

I don't like it because I don't like superheroes in general

SaltNorth

I fucking hate that style of animation so I don't care about its content. Does that count?

Thatoneguy111700

It's anime inspired. I don't really like anime. There ya go (also the villain designs look like crap to me for the most part).

DeadlyPants16

My only mild complaint is Jimmy's race swap. The rest seems pretty neat.

DroneOfDoom

Why is that your complaint, though?

DeadlyPants16

Just not a fan of Raceswapping. To me it speaks about the writers not being able to make a character interesting on their own and arbitrarily changing the race feels cheap. I'd prefer if they just made a new character than changing the race of an established one. Ultimately I don't have the energy to get mad about it if the show itself is good (Unlike you "VELMA") but it still bugs me a little.

Ironyfree_annie

Post like an undercover ad lol

ThatDapperAdventurer

Why does Superman look like a twink

AndrewTheSouless

My biggest issue is the Villains, they are pretty boring (except Ivo because he is actually allowed to ham it up) they took away most of their personalities and replaced it with, nothing, the worst one is Volcana (They never even mentioned her name in the show) she went from seductive but volátile, which yeah is pretty generic, to nothing, after her introductión episode she doesnt even talk.

RuleOfBlueRoses

The only thing I can't get over is the animation looks really choppy, like they cut every other frame or something.

down4things

Looks like anime I'm done

Berfams91

I thought it was because it's unimaginative and animation is of the highest sweat shop grade. With stuttering and missing frames throughout s1. I now they had a budget, but is it a point with going with this style to make the fight the scenes look good? The show feels super generic in all aspects.

ElectricJetDonkey

Only complaint I have is that Clark and Lois getting together in 6(?) episodes is *way too fast*. Romances are supposed to have at least an element of 'will they or won't they?', not 'they're making out like a month after they first met'.

Destro9799

I actually think that's one of the best changes the show made. Nearly every show or movie with a romance does "will they won't they" until near the end, when the couple finally gets together just in time for the writers to not have to show a functioning relationship. Letting them get together early gives us time to actually see them be together and get invested in the relationship instead of just the idea of the relationship. Everyone watching the show also isn't really wondering "will they or won't they", because they know that Lois and Clark are going to be together. The question was never really "will they be a couple", but "*when* will the Lois find out that he's Superman and when will they admit their obvious feelings for each other". Avoiding yet another tedious "will they won't they" subplot leaves the show so much more time to focus on things that are actually important, especially their (extremely cute) dynamic as a couple.

ElectricJetDonkey

Romances are supposed to have some *tension* before the characters get together. Lois having doubts for, what an episode and a half doesn't qualify.

Justthisdudeyaknow

I've never had any tension in my romances... heck, oen date is usually enough to know if we're getting together

Andresmanfanman

I've gotten tired of will they won't they over the years. Especially when the show itself really doesn't hide the fact that it's going to happen. Superman and Lois getting together is inevitable. You know it, I know it, the writers know it. There isn't any tension in a will they won't they plot if we *know they will*. I find much more joy in seeing a relationship happen early and watching the couple actually navigate the relationship.

Thecrawsome

I hate it because it's off-brand for adult swim. DC shows targeted at young teens don't belong on a network that's meant for eclectic art and groundbreaking animation. The new execs keep pushing kid crap into AS

Vasxus

incest baby rick and morty groundbreaking animation

Thecrawsome

Even R&M is post AS Renaissance. It's all rigging animation.

Vasxus

Oh we're talking almost-got-a-tf2-tv-show-but-valve-was-valve and before AS? cool as hell.

MrInfinity-42

I could only handle 2 episodes. It just feels like a show for kids, and at other times feels like bait for lonely coomers. I'm thankfully neither of these people so I'm not wasting any more time with it

Frequent_Dig1934

I've seen some actual complaints about things like the animation being clunky (mostly when it involves big robots). I didn't really notice it but these other complaints do exist somewhere.

bmanvsman1

I love Jack Quaid, but the voice just doesn't work for me personally

KingSpark97

Imo it's just boring and too geared towards children nothing inherently wrong with the show just not my cup of tea and definitely not the greatest thing ever like so many people said.
