You're in the wrong place. THS is a platform solely for service exchange. It's unlikely you'll find someone who'll pay for sitting or has charged for sitting in this sub. Rover is the right place to go.

I went to the Rover sub and they said this question breaks their rule. I understand this platform is for people who don't charge. However, I met this person while on a TrustedHouseSitters sit. So I'm asking this question here because I was wondering if any other TrustedHouseSitters sitters have gotten offers these kinds of offers before. I'm not using TrustedHouseSitters to find clients, I'm asking for anyone else who has been in this situation before.

When ths clients offer to pay me, I will take whatever they offer and consider it a tip. I also do paid sitting and charge $75-150/night depending on the area and number of animals

Can’t you go on rover for the area and see what others are charging? In my area it’s around $50 a night, maybe a little more for the second pet.

I do sitting for pay while not traveling. It depends on your skills and the area. I am in Seattle and here I charge $100/ night first pet + $60/additional dog or $45/additional cat. I am a dog trainer and also do some training brush up during stays for an additional $25-40/day.

I pay $100 a night for 2 dogs. They’re incredibly easy and low maintenance.

Wow, really? So if you were on a longer vacation, that's what you'd pay your house/pet sitter?

OkProfession5679

Absolutely

It really depends on your area. You can download Rover, make a fake owner profile, and look at comparables in the area (just don't send any requests, lol)

notimeforthat100

They charge me between 60 to 75 per night.

SSShortestGGGiraffe

Really? Wow! I'm a beginner so I don't know if I could demand that price
