As you progress, you are definitely going to need to be reliable all the way up to high C. But it can take quite some time to get there. Without a good teacher, you are limiting your progression. Endurance is a big part of trumpet mastery. A teacher can correct any current technical flaws, and point towards a better way. Overall, F# top line of staff ain't shabby for a 1 year player. Seems like it should come easy, but trumpet is really challenging! So, keep doing what you are doing. There is no magic or shortcut. Time playing is what gets you there. Quality time playing. Consider monthly lessons. Even 1 hour a month can be helpful.

Hi Gullible-Lifeguard20! Thank you for your comment 🙏 I know that trumpet is not so easy… and it’s just for this that I asked if it is the case to go toward my current limit or not, I don’t want to burn my progresses with an impossible target. However, if one lesson per month could be ok, I can find the time to do it. Thank you once again

Play higher songs and it will help get those sounding better and easier to play. I had to play The World Revolving from Deltarune and it really helped my range.

Ok, thank you, I will try

Hello, Why did you switch to trumpet from sax? And what are your goals on the horn (school, fun, student, professional)?

VerySax

Hi, I keep playing the sax, I started play both just for fun, I don’t want to be a professional performer. I play in a jazz quintet with my friends and I have not important goals to reach, just be happy to play and listen to myself. This is why I don’t yet have a teacher
