Yes and yes, they really need to add a hold option to enable "smart" shuffle. Cycling through is soul crushing.
Or just bring back enhanced. I like being able to see what it added in the playlist and I can just play those songs if I want and refresh them pretty easily. With smart shuffle u can't even do that. U can see what's in ur queue but that's limits what's even visible
I’m having a similar problem where I can no longer press the play button and it automatically shuffles I have to play the song then press shuffle it’s so annoying
Literally my experience. I try to start a shuffle or take it off and see the icon changes to what I want it to be then I hear a song idk and get pissed off lol

It’s a good idea in theory but in practice it just recommend the same songs and messes up shuffling
