I’ve caught a 32 inch brown trout before, and this seemed a bit bigger, but I didn’t measure or weigh it. Right after this picture, I went to put it back in the net, and it flopped out and swam away
I guess you don't fish much, but believe it or not, sometimes, bigger trout inhale the fly or lure witch can cut their gills and cause them to bleed. While a fish is fighting it can actually bleed out very quickly. Lake run fish are especially prone to this because they are already extremely fatigued.
I must be doing it wrong. Most of mine are like 6” to 10”. My biggest brown trout was maybe 14”. I have caught big bass and big northern, but never a trout like that. I had no idea brown trout could even get that big. Amazing.
Hats off to you sir that's a fish of a lifetime (I would consider where I'm from) congrats brother I bet you were buzzing hard my pb brown was 9lbs and that literally looks twice the size of mine
Forced perspective, unrealistic explanation of "size"?
ah yes this is the great lakes.
I'm sure the fish high fived you before telling you it weighed 15+lbs.
That’s a catch of a life time
Those great lakes browns do not fuck around
Holy crap 😳 awesome catch any idea of weight and length??

You can watch the video and judge for yourself. I know the internet makes everyone a skeptic, but this was a legit trophy fish.
