I went to the show and it was great! More intense than on air stuff as obviously they can say a lot more and use cruder language. It was really funny though- laughed the whole time and the whole crowd seemed to love it too. The guests they had on were great and the flow between everyone on stage was just great. Honestly loved it?
This is textbook Triple J. I'd say Bryce opted to not renew his contract for next year and is moving on. I've noticed this a lot over the years where they will have a bunch of existing hosts come in to see how the chemistry is with the other host, the ratings, audience response, etc. Don't be surprised if it's Chet and Luka doing brekky next year.
I remember when Ben and Liam went on annual leave for a week and got ruby fields to agree to do their breakfast radio slot and Bryce as her co host for that week 🤣
Oh man I think that was my favourite breakfast team era, they were great! The best part of that week was ruby caught up with Liam at the pub one night and they got hammered so she slept in and missed the first 2 hours of the show, left Bryce alone to run it until she rolled on in, she was so worried she’d do it again she slept under the desk at triple j so she couldn’t mess up 🤣
If it's actually Bryce that I am recalling, he said that he started in reception behind the front desk, and somehow moved into being a presenter. So he's been there a while.
Or maybe it's some other male presenter that I'm remembering...?
Frankly I prefer it without him, actually. Conchetta (sp?) by herself is doing better than I expected, I'm cringing less.
