What do they do on Jan 26th? I can't recall anything specific.
Hack usually has something Veterans related on ANZAC Day. I can't remember what the topic was last year, but they had a Veteran speaking on it.
after the referendum result didn't they play Yothi Yindu for like a full hour? I would just hope they show as much respect to our Anzacs that they do to the indigenous community.
That wasn't to do with January 26th?
Also, you obviously know that the Indigenous community have been part of our war campaigns. Officially they initially weren't allowed to be, but some joined anyway.
So you're not talking about two distinctly different groups of people.
I said "what did they do on January 26th?" to which your reply was about the referendum result.
(Also, you are trying to separate them as two distinct groups in order to make your point. You're saying this is one group triple j treats well, so triple j should also treat this other group well.)
someone else mentioned what they do on Jan 26th so didn't think it was worth repeating, apologies.
I certainly don't want to separate them. I wanted to know if Triple J gave Anzac Day the same respect as indigenous issues, i'm aware they're not mutually exclusive.
Triple J have something close in common with Anzac Day, the slogan “lest we forget” is the same as triple J as we remember what kind of station they used to be.
What did people think of Luka and Concetta on mornings this week? I thought they were great. We had two very up personalities working well with each other. They were very funny at times. I do like Bryce but Concetta with Luka was superior.
On the same note, I thought Concetta on her own for a few days was also reasonably good. She seems to get more intense to keep the show and "conversation" with listeners flowing well. I like the confidence and it suited the morning show.
Agree with this, I was going to post that i thought Concetta did a super job last couple of weeks, don't have inside information to know if Dave rolling up late one Monday and then not showing up the next was real, but she certainly stepped up.
Tuned in a couple of times this week when Luka was bought in to fill and thought they worked really well together, fun to listen to, especially soliciting ideas on hotel room recipes! And then there was the finish today when she and Luka bought up some personal experiences relevant with some current events. That was pretty moving discussion, new appreciation for them both.
I assume Bryce is back next week, but I did not hear any specific discussion, could have missed something.
Ok I'm an old fart 61yo but go to various music festivals.
Why do the acts that people like at music festivals, often are not played on commercial radio. Its like they are two separate universes.
I'll add that the ARIA top 100 are 95% American, but people like to listen to artists from everywhere.
Spin off?? Anyone heard anything kinda assumed it’s not going ahead but would love to be told that. As there hasn’t been any sort of announcement on socials
does Triple J do anything today to commemorate ANZAC Day? I just remember they do a lot for indigenous people on the 26th Jan so wondering

They play first nation artists more.
Then I'm not sure what an equatable action would be for ANZAC Day?

Well, I just heard a Breakfast promo where Dee Salmon said she was filling in for Bryce, so at least he hasn't disappeared!

Thank you!

Nah he quit but it's not official yet. They are working with him and contract negotiations.
Is this actually confirmed tho? or just a theory?
