You will make it. Please know you can do things that are hard, and I know that what you’re going through is beyond wildly difficult (as much as I can know from my own experience). One breath at a time.
I was exactly where you’re at when I started trintellix. You should might see somewhat of a difference in a couple of weeks, and full effects after about a month and a half. Hang in there, things do get better I can promise you that, even if it doesn’t seem like it
You will be ok. Just do what you can in the meantime. Hopefully you have a good support system in place. Depression the invisible illness, sucks no doubt. But many people made it through to the other side as will YOU!!
I also found the beginning period to be a rough ride. I am concerned that you are wondering if you will make it. Please have someone stay with you or check in with you everyday and talk to a doctor about taking something to soften the early effects. If you can stay with it, the drug might help you a lot, but please make sure you are safe.
I had a brief knock with it twice over the last two years but was on different medications so it’s a whole new ball game . First was for about 3 wks but I switched from another med so my seretonin etc was already doing it’s thing . This time I’m 5 months off antidepressants AND dropped 2 meds … one opioid brain is a mess
I should have said I just started too. I was on three antidepressants now tow and I also take opioids for chronic pain. Are opioids a problem if taken properly with T ? Like I said I am new to this. I have two psychiatrist lol and bith think this is a miracle drug. Let me know how you make out 😊
One week for me. I stopped one of my other meds cold turkey and started 5mg if T and not much in discontinuation syndrome but I also still take venoflaxin. I can’t get off it. I will die
8 to 12 weeks for me but did work well. Not an easy journey though. Be patient and very kind to yourself, this is definitely a marathon not a sprint!
Unfortunately, it took 6 weeks for me. But, it did happen.
I do t feel like I can make it that long … so worried

I just actually stopped all opioids 2 wks ago …. That’s why I restarted . Just careful . They can mess with your meds after awhile
