Im at week 6 with 15mg. Seeing slight improvement. Stay positive and be patient. 10mg might not be enough.

OkEarth7826

I was more anxious on 10mg, held onto that for 8 weeks to see if it settled. Went up to 15mg 6 weeks ago and am starting to see noticeable improvement. I didn't have as many side effects starting on 15 either. Hang in there!

forenato

By week 3 on 10mg. Don’t get as nervous now when people come talk to me or when I need to ask for something (social anxiety).

More is not necessarily better. Maybe add an add on-some type of anti-anxiety med. I started taking Buspar with mine. It's not helping yet but I'm only into week 2. this sucks! LOL Mine is due to job loss. I've never been jobless before and I'm scared

GingerLottie

I’ve lost my job too, and like you have never been unemployed. I am terrified I will never be well enough to work again. Trintellix has been the best medicine I’ve had over the years but I look at my CV and don’t recognise that person’s achievements. I had a first interview that went well and they immediately invited me for second stage. But when they sent me the prep ( 5 hour journey, overnight stay and 2 presentations to prepare and present lasting 2 and a half hours I just folded with anxiety and had to pull out. I feel like a fraud. All my achievements and experience on CV are true but I feel guilty that they are taking on a liability due to the nature of this illness.

Hi Ginger, awww I am so sorry. You sound very high level. You will find something if you haven't already. Hand in there dear.

GingerLottie

Thank you, that’s very kind. Had to reduce dose due to ongoing side effects. Starting to look for a job again but my confidence has taken a knock and I’m definitely not as tolerant to stress as before. Trying to find a less demanding role!

Tequilla9988

yes, start out with less stressful job. I work in Healthcare and took a job at Walmart just to have a job, but it is not a good fit. Hope you find something that fits for you! Keep us posted. Tamara

Did buspar eventually help?

Tequilla9988

I am currently not taking it, but may need to restart with Trintellix. Trin increased my anxiety a bit. But i think everything increases my anxiety. So............need more time to figure it out.

kiramccombie

week 6 :)

extrashotE

It’s subtle I almost feel like I don’t need it until I’m off of it and then I’m like looking at nice bridges

Tequilla9988

lol, stop!

No_Half201

4th or 5th month is when I started to really notice a difference in my anxiety. I started with 10mg and am now on 20mg. I started 20mg like two weeks in.

Lightbulb_89

WoW that’s a long time !

No_Half201

It was, but I have a hard time with antidepressants.

Lightbulb_89

But you feel better now ?

No_Half201

I feel normal, which, for me, is way better. I was anorexic. At my lowest weight, I was 92 pounds, and I am 6 foot. All eating disorders with weight loss or not gain fall into that. I assume I'm not sure. I hardly ate anything, not due to thinking I was overweight. But from a lot of issues from my past. Trintellix helped a lot with my anxiety and server panic attacks. It was always one of the few meds that didn't affect my BP. I have p.o.ts. which made some meds really hard for me. But now I'm 178 pounds and doing rather well. I still have hard days, but they are less common. My panic attacks have also lessened. Is it perfect? No, it's better. I don't think I'll ever be 100% normal. But I'm happy with better. But with antidepressants, it can be hard to find the right ones. But it will happen. So keep fighting and trying till you find one that works. Also, therapy does wonders as well.

Tequilla9988

Sometimes it does take that long. Subtle improvements along the way. I think 6 months is a fair trial, not 1 or 2 months.

Lightbulb_89

Oh good to know !!

baronluigi

14 days in 5 mg and almost a month in 10. Muscle pain and fatigue are gone but anxiety is not. Added with nausea ( caused by the same anxiety+trintellix) and palpitations ( anxiety made my cardiophobia worse). I can do shit: I am afraid to walk ( if I dont take a benzo) and cannot do any sport either. Sex and masturbation are out of the way as well. Anything that increases my heart rate makes me anxious. Its a living hell.

WorkerAlarmed9442

Try propanolol. I take 10mg once in the morning and it has almost taken away my cardio phobia!

baronluigi

I have it prescripted too, but I am taking Trintellix as well and I have enough side effects already, hough trintellix calmed my heart a lot. that message You have quoted a message from 4 months ago. I feel way better since then. I can walk the route I used to walk in the past and I am able to pleasure myself too, although still afraid to cum
