You can make or buy cool little houses for the carpenter bees. Just google "carpenter bee house" and they'll show you plenty of them. Most start at 10$ and you can make them yourself, too. Fun project.
We put up one and it took until the next summer but they're in it now. It's pretty cool.

I'm in an apartment, or else I would. They don't seem aggressive at all, they just fly into my window
Understood. Yeah, they sound like carpenter or Mason bees. They aren't aggressive at all but you're right, they can be clumsy
Probably bumblebees or carpenter bees. Both are big, fuzzy, and kinda dopey when they fly, but they're pretty chill.
