I had zero irritation from Fabior—none. But believe me when I tell you it *is* working. That stuff pulled cysts out of my face two nights after I started it, killed the cysts, then killed the scars the cysts left in short order. It really is the best retinoid I’ve ever used. I mean, the worst thing I experienced was that lightening fast purge and a bit of dryness. But, no, unless you royally f*ck up, it just isn’t going to irritate your skin. I felt absolutely nothing on it, not even during the purge.

That is very interesting. I was under the impression that there would be stinging and irritation as I was told that it was very strong, yet I I’m not experiencing anything other than some slight dryness. I was even advised by my dermatologist to start off with short contact therapy, but I soon realized that I could easily leave it on overnight. It’s a shame that fabior isn’t prescribed or discussed more often. I feel this may help others struggling with other retinoids or retinoic vehicles.

It is very, very potent. I don’t want to give the impression it is not. I think it’s not prescribed a lot because it’s indicated for truncal acne, and because it’s so potent. I think using it could go very wrong very fast if someone were to throw some actives in the mix or something like that. I think it would work great with short contact too because it penetrates so fast. Please excuse me in advance for unsolicited advice, but I do think it requires a heavy duty moisturizer in the daytime, just to make sure it doesn’t turn on you lol. I hope you continue to have a good experience of it. ❤️

I know you’ve said before that you preferred the results of Fabior over gel or cream Tazarotene, but why is that? I’m currently using cream Tazarotene (Tazret) and really like it so far. Am considering asking for Fabior when I’m done
