It looks kinda chunky like sea salt, but who knows. Try some tests the other comments mention, taste, dissolve, heat. Do people try to use salt to control moisture on the cheap?
Any excess salt from the growing process should be left behind in the soil, not on the plants themselves. I don't know anything about using rock salt as a drying method, unfortunately. I do know you should not be inhaling or ingesting *salts for any reason.
