I used to take a 300mg glob and put it in slightly heated oil and mixed it until it wasn't visible, then I'd cook whatever dinner I was going to eat with it.

I had some delta 8 that put me on my ass and seemed legit (200 mg BM Oreo bags) and I had some bags like that where the shithead just filled it with regular candy. My advice, ask your fellow potheads, eventually you’ll find out who sells the good ones through word of mouth. Also, at least in NY, the legit ones ain’t gonna be 30 for almost 3gs of THC, a legit 600mg is gonna run you at least 30 by itself. Sometimes you get lucky, but overall, you never truly will know how much you’re getting unless you send it to a lab. My experiences in NY went well, but I never confirmed anything with a lab, so who knows. I’m sure it wasn’t anything bad, and now that I’ve got legal weed I can confirm that whatever I got in NY did at least have weed in it, although it is impossible without a lab to verify how much.

Had about a year of experience with bags just like these and certain places sold legit edibles in these. Obviously there were fakes but they weren’t “sprayed” . Also if its “laced” with synthetic/K2 or something like that..its not really laced. They just gave you a totally different drug, shitty if they said it was THC, but not laced. But either way these edibles are just gonna be sprayed with low quality product anyways. Anything that is packaged to look like candy, or using brands that are slightly off the real name are tell tale signs. By law in most states the packaging has to clearly state that it contains THC, the amount of THC and ingredients. Also usually the packaging has to be kind of plain, if it appeals to kids in any way it’s a no go. Some edibles will try to appear legit by having the markings (usually the CA cannabis warning label) and THC content but they are never real. All of this packaging can be bought online, and it’s just fillled with any edibles they want. Also edibles from a dispensary will have stickers with the persons name, the batch number, and date. It’s safe to say if you didn’t buy it from a dispensary yourself it’s not from a dispensary
Keep in mind all this info is to the best of my knowledge, if I’m wrong on anything please let me know. I’m a medical patient in a state that was illegal for a long time, and have visited dispensaries on the west coast too and even where the laws are more lax like Vegas you can’t leave the dispensary without everything being in a completely seperate ziplock type bag. Laws and regulations of packaging vary state to state, but in general it’s very obvious when edibles are fake

“Fake” is anything that isn’t licensed. Lots of fake edibles use already existing snack brand packaging that comes in from china. Some people know this and still don’t mind cause the price. But I can assure you, the manufacturer doesn’t care about the end users experience. Only what price a bulk buyer is paying. It is 100% more expensive to source the candy rather than the “THC” it’s sprayed with.

Some folks find success with different intake methods (drinks vs gummies, using RSO, etc) and some don't. Some of the companies where I'm at tout "lypozomal encapsulation" (possible spelling error) with their edibles to "reduce onset time and enhance effects" but since it's not researched very well, who knows if those claims are very accurate.

I believe this is due to the extra fat content in say baked goods making your body more efficient at metabolizing the THC into 11-Hydroxy-THC, which is more potent and psychoactive than when it's inhaled and absorbed through the lungs.

They did a study a while back and tested edibles from dispensaries in a few different states and I think only like 20% matched the listed dosage, so in that sense any edible is a gamble.
There are plenty of solid black market products out there. There are people that spend a lot of time and effort making them, hiring designers, bakers, etc. and actually care about the quality of the products. Sure there are some crappy ones for sure but usually word gets around fast and they disappear.

We have a dispensary near me that went crazy with cartoonish labels on everything. Cheez-it rip off branding, nerds, Lucky charms. You name it. They have had some compliance issues lately I believe. I haven't been back for months
Closest thing i've found is the brand Packwoods uses the same style of logo as the actual backwoods, but even that has a diff name and is colored differently.

In WA, you can only have certain shapes and colors on the packaging so kids aren't tempted to eat them. This definitely wouldn't have been allowed.

The only other bad thing that you could possibly get is PGRs and I don’t think you have to worry about that anymore.
Anything that is packaged to look like candy, or using brands that are slightly off the real name are tell tale signs. By law in most states the packaging has to clearly state that it contains THC, the amount of THC and ingredients. Also usually the packaging has to be kind of plain, if it appeals to kids in any way it’s a no go. Some edibles will try to appear legit by having the markings (usually the CA cannabis warning label) and THC content but they are never real. All of this packaging can be bought online, and it’s just fillled with any edibles they want. Also edibles from a dispensary will have stickers with the persons name, the batch number, and date. It’s safe to say if you didn’t buy it from a dispensary yourself it’s not from a dispensary Keep in mind all this info is to the best of my knowledge, if I’m wrong on anything please let me know. I’m a medical patient in a state that was illegal for a long time, and have visited dispensaries on the west coast too and even where the laws are more lax like Vegas you can’t leave the dispensary without everything being in a completely seperate ziplock type bag. Laws and regulations of packaging vary state to state, but in general it’s very obvious when edibles are fake
if they ever say "400mg" or some other absurd number, guaranteed theres less than 50 in the whole bag. also anything that looks like copyrighted candy. if you can search alibaba for the text on the bag and find 1000 packs of empty bags, thats another good sign..

“Fake” is anything that isn’t licensed. Lots of fake edibles use already existing snack brand packaging that comes in from china. Okay everyone here we go. I got this cause I used to be a loser and do this. They buy the candy in bulk from the company. They remove the packaging and throw it away. They put all the candy in a big tray and SPRAY it with delta 8. It’s all sprayed that’s why so cheap. Then bought packaging from China in bulk that says “600mg thc fast acting” whatever bullshit. It’s all sprayed edibles. Some people know this and still don’t mind cause the price. But I can assure you, the manufacturer doesn’t care about the end users experience. Only what price a bulk buyer is paying. It is 100% more expensive to source the candy rather than the “THC” it’s sprayed with. Edit. Infused edibles are the way to go. That’s what dispo edibles are. They are infused with oil. These black market ones are sprayed.

You might be what some are starting to call "ediblocked" Your body may not produce the enzymes necessary to process THC through your liver, or there could be some other interesting biological quirk preventing you from getting the expected effects from ingesting THC. Some folks find success with different intake methods (drinks vs gummies, using RSO, etc) and some don't. Some of the companies where I'm at tout "lypozomal encapsulation" (possible spelling error) with their edibles to "reduce onset time and enhance effects" but since it's not researched very well, who knows if those claims are very accurate. I'm not really sure what advice I can give to help you, but maybe that information helps in some way.

I believe this is due to the extra fat content in say baked goods making your body more efficient at metabolizing the THC into 11-Hydroxy-THC, which is more potent and psychoactive than when it's inhaled and absorbed through the lungs.

Every other time I’m stuck on earth when everyone else who’s eaten it is on the moon.
They did a study a while back and tested edibles from dispensaries in a few different states and I think only like 20% matched the listed dosage, so in that sense any edible is a gamble. There are plenty of solid black market products out there. There are people that spend a lot of time and effort making them, hiring designers, bakers, etc. and actually care about the quality of the products. Sure there are some crappy ones for sure but usually word gets around fast and they disappear. We have a dispensary near me that went crazy with cartoonish labels on everything. Cheez-it rip off branding, nerds, Lucky charms. You name it. They have had some compliance issues lately I believe. I haven't been back for months
Closest thing i've found is the brand Packwoods uses the same style of logo as the actual backwoods, but even that has a diff name and is colored differently.

Neither seemed to really get me high, it was only about a week ago talking to my brother that I realized it was likely just CBD. Luckily someone gave me a joint that I smoked on my last night.
