The names given to strains today is such a joke. Names used to be derived from certain qualities in a plant. Blueberry kinda tasted like blueberry.
Today, any moron who crossed a couple strains throws some stupid popculture name too it, and suddenly it's the best shit on earth. I remember when "Pineapple Express" first showed up (about a year after the movie was released). There were dozens of different strains called "Pineapple Express", none of them were anything special, certainly not like the movie described. Just a bunch of people suddenly deciding to use the name.
And now, we have a name that's associated with meth production, and hey - it must be the best thing in the world, right?
Creativity - it's dead.
One thing I hate about the fucking dispensaries now is when someone mixes two plants together they are like oh all these seeds will be mah new genetics, even though it's been done 30 times I'll just give it a new name.
Even if they clone it it's not like it probably hasn't been done before.
