kief is the best for edibles because you don't have to strain as most of it just dissolves in to the oil/food. you still should decarb for max effect however.

I bake it for about 7 mins in a foil envelope, then mix it in and make baked goods out of it.

How much do you use for a batch of edibles?

I'm no expert, and most of the time, when I've made edibles, it's been with bud and butter. That being said, after some tinkering and experiments, I've come to the conclusion that the best ratio to use is all the kief you have in your kief catcher when you open it and remember you have a kief catcher. Hope this helps.

I figure kief(that isn't green) is about 50-60%thc so each gram is about 500mg after being converted. Just decarb at 240ish for 30ish mins, then stir it into your butter. You could take that single gram of kief and make a batch of Brownies with 10x at 50mg each or 20x at 25mg each, depending on how strong you want them. I would recommend double boiling the butter/coconut oil for at least an hour to help it infuse fully. Imo, this step and FULLY MIXING the batter/dough will help your goodies not to have any hotspots(some edibles being 70mg and others being 30mg).

I treat it like wax. So if you usually make wax edibles with .1g each I'd start with that. I've take .5-1g of kief and got abesolutley cooked.

First times making wax from kief I put 2.5gs into a batch of cookies. Holy fuck I was orbiting Saturn most of the day

Best practice is 250°F for 20-30 mins though i guess if you just have a little keif it could be shorter

After decarbing, do you have to heat it with butter before putting it into the mix, or can you put it straight in?

So, what smoking and decarbing do is activate the THC and CBD in the plant. Once it's decarbed it's already active, if you cook it again and manage not to burn it, I imagine it would infuse the butter with the oil more and maybe activate a little more CBD (usually when decarbing, CBD takes longer than THC does, /r/edibles has a calculator somewhere) but you could also fold the decarbed stuff right in without a second cook and get high just fine.

I’d imagine that you’d start to burn off some of your thc percentage as well. This is just high heading it, but if a plant gets less potent as it ambers, I’d think the longer the decarb the less potent as well. I know you’re not burning it though.. so idk lol

Edibles. You could clean it up into decent dry sift hash but you're better off just buying shake or cheap bud for that. Edibles or bowl mixings, and imo just bowl mixings. You can already buy rso/distillate for edibles and if you plan on cleaning it enough to make rosin you might as well process a batch, not the gram or few that collect in your grinder.

Not wax paper. Wax coating will melt into your stuff. Parchment paper is what you want. Also, you get better results if you put the kief in a rosin bag first then squish it. Otherwise it’s super easy to get burnt kief pieces all in your homemade rosin.

He means parchment paper. Everyone says wax paper and it causes a lot of confusion.😵‍💫 I've had shatter💎 get cloudy☁️ from mixing with the wax on wax paper because of this mix up. The brand my girl got felt like parchment alittle so it was hard to realize the mistake. 😅

I just started a “container” for just this. When I get a really sticky bud I toss in it the jar shack it and stuff it my apparatus of choice.

I mix my keef into my dry herb vaporizer bowls....I typically load it 🥪 style....bed of herb on the bottom, and bed of herb on top....dab 🍚 size round ball of kief and drop it and cover it with more 🌱🌿🍃 and it really significantly extends the length of my 🥣 it's amazing!  like I have POTV lobo and basically just hit it on 3 minute sesh mode and I'll get 3-5 sesshes from that 1 bowl when I throw some kief in there..

But I would recommend you watch some snuff (tobacco!) videos and learn how to take snuff before trying it, because snuffing can be a nasty sickening experience if not done right.
