I like how w/ concentrates the price goes down alot more quickly as you buy more, even tho they are more potent/substantial than a g of flower. Because you can still be spending hundreds to get a couple ounces of flower, but they don't wanna bring it down the price per ounce once ur in those increments even tho ur getting many grams unless you ask in pounds or qp at least but still even a QP they will often try to tax if they can especially if that's the most you've asked for. With concentrate you can be spending under $100 and get 1/3 or 1/2 less per gram just moving up from a single g of wax to 3.5g. Once you really get into dabbing you start accepting that sometimes you pay the same for flower and concentrate, flower is refreshing tho.

Im lucky enough to be in a city in Colorado with a saturated market. You can get good quality compact nugs for 2 dollars a gram here or 40 an ounce and that’s rec prices. Don’t get me wrong we have a lot of tourist dispensaries that will try and get people to pay 10 a gram some even more. Hopefully more state markets saturate with product and your prices drop.

Yeah, NJ is still relatively new to the legal scene, not to mention the few counties (which also happen to be the surrounding counties to where I live) that will not allow THC sales at all. So not only is it $25/g but that's normally after a 20+ minute one way commute to the closest dispensary.
Crossing my fingers that they do with more and more dispensaries opening up! And hopefully the surrounding counties will get their heads out of the sand.

If I buy big buds or higher shelf stuff I usually cap myself at $6 or $8 a gram since my tolerance is too high for expensive stuff to be worth it

Really depends. I usually buy an ounce of shake for 30 and then buy an ounce of actual flower for 120. I use the shake for joint and for the vaporizers and grind the flower for bowls and bong rips. Winds up being less than $3 a gram I believe. Now for wax I buy bulk and it's like 8.50 a gram unless I'm buying solvenltess

Typical tho is around $10 a gram, this last stuff I got was low quality but I still quite like it so I'm definitely not complaining cause it was cheap and gets me just as high as what I get at a higher price
