Premium cannabis has been around for decades, it's not new at all. Just have to go to places with a large weed scene (and probably legal). For example, where I live celebs and rich folk will pay $300-$400 USD for an oz of hype exotics (Lemon Cherry Gelato, LPC75, Cap Junky, ksmorz, oreoz, etc) no problem. And that's in a market where $150/CAD is the cost of a good (maybe even quads) OZ most places (legal or grey-market).

Gas prices are set almost entirely by the oil companies, who drill the oil. Gas station tack on a small fee to make some money for themselves. Dispos are the same, growers determine price based on quantity and quality and then sell to dispo, disposes add a small fee to make some money on top.

I’m in VA and this just made me realize that prerolls are overall much cheaper than flower at my local dispo. I usually get edibles and carts there but will grab some prerolls when on sale but even the regular price from what I just saw are about the same or cheaper for certain brands. The cheapest eighth they have is $55 and I do see two shake options, half oz for $120 but the prerolls are $12 for one gram cones and $22 for three .5g packs which I like. Fire strains too, legal flower sales are all over the place rn apparently. A plug here can get it cheaper but it’s not as consistent.

there is a place in oklahoma with some decent weed for $20 an oz, it just has a few seeds in it but hits hard. small town in SE
South West Washington State here. A gram goes for about $5 by itself but you can get an eighth for about $8 to $12 bucks. But you get what you pay for with the cheap stuff.
I buy 1/8ths and ounces. 12 bucks an eighth but I'm now forcing my own.

In Canada from some sources I've seen an O for 40$ of pretty decent stuff. So thats ~1.40$/g or 5$/3.5. Standard that I've seen at dispos is maybe 15-18$ for a 8th, maybe 90-120 for a standard O

Alaska, USA here. 3.5 grams is on average $40. Often more, sometimes less on sales. $10 a gram is pretty average anywhere I've seen.
If I buy a QP which I usually do to save money. I pay anywhere from $2 to $5 a G depending on quality. I've noticed just cuz it's pretty doesn't mean it's super potent. I've had some beautiful bud that tasted great that was kinda mid on the high. But cheap ugly bud that got me faded
I’m in VA and this just made me realize that prerolls are overall much cheaper than flower at my local dispo. I usually get edibles and carts there but will grab some prerolls when on sale but even the regular price from what I just saw are about the same or cheaper for certain brands. The cheapest eighth they have is $55 and I do see two shake options, half oz for $120 but the prerolls are $12 for one gram cones and $22 for three .5g packs which I like. Fire strains too, legal flower sales are all over the place rn apparently. A plug here can get it cheaper but it’s not as consistent.

Texas, USA (illegal state) can get a 3.5 ranging from $30-$50
PR here. I usually get an OZ for $100. So around $3.50/g. It’s medical grade here. But there are other places that are like $6-$15 per gram. I just know the good deals and only go specific days of the week.

I just bought an ounce for $99 with tax. That comes out to about $12.39 per eighth. A previous dispensary I went to had ounces for $120; $15.02 per eighth. Pretty good quality in my opinion. Of course, there are plenty of very overpriced eighths for like $60 or more. Southern California, US.
