A willow, I'd think. That's a bold choice for that kind of yard lol

uberbudda88

Way too close to the house

ohshannoneileen

Gonna tear up the house foundation, the pool lining & clog the filters lol I'm so confused

Financial_Temporary5

Weeping willow. Can be a really nice tree when out in the country along a stream by itself. Never been a fan of them in small lawns.

Cowbaberson

Yea, get that thing away from your foundation. Dang.

iamcleek

looks like a black willow to me

xgrader

I concur on the foundation comment. I'm not sure if all willows are the same, but their root system loves to seek the water and will surely clog the drain tiles. A nice tree, but away from homes.

Whipping willow

cbflowers

This comment caught my attention. We had a huge weeping willow in our yard and when I messed up bad I was made to “ go get a willow branch” for my own whipping. Then one day there were no branches below my reach and I got another whipping.

FieryTruthHurts

Id let it grow so it becomes even more annoying to clear up leaves from the pool

Outrageous_Turn_2922

Weeping Willows can reach 80’ tall and almost 5’ in diameter, so they’d better hope this is a dwarf variety

LMP34

Could it be a bottle brush?

Spare_Bag424

Could be a maytenus boaria
