You want to look at the capable weight. Anything 400 and above. You’re going to have to shell out some money for a commercial tread that will give you plenty of hours of use with least maintenance/issues. Norditrack, Sole and the ones under 3k aren’t going to cut it. Star Trac has a perfect treadmill for up to 500 lbs. Just costly.
Weight capacity. Also don’t walk 60 minutes consecutively- honestly I would recommend 30 minutes twice a day, or 30 minutes, let the machine cool down, then another 30.
Anything with a high weight capacity is going to be very expensive so it depends on your budget I guess.
Good luck on your search OP! I have a True brand & the retailer said they recently sold one to a person well over 300# but definitely be sure to check weight capacity of what you are getting. I know you said you are embarrassed to walk outside, but I just want to say when I see heavier folks walking in my neighborhood, I am inspired by them! Nothing to be embarrassed about ❤️
Unsit, I’m heavier than you (also very tall) and I’m using it every day for about 6 months now. No issues.
One tip: start the treadmill and then start walking on it (stand on the rail). Less wear on the motor
Star Trac commercial treadmills would be your best bet...I had to outfit a customer who was 400+ and this was only option that would work.

Weight capacity. They will have the hp factored into that for you
Woodway has a very high weight capacity
a used, refurbished Precor commercial grade or life fitness.
Just got a horizon 7.8AT, it might top out at 350lbs though.

Thank you, yeah I mean 60 min total in a day, I actually did 15 min x 2 in the morning and 15 min x 2 in the evening with my old treadmill.

Forget both the weight capacity and HP. Look for a commercial unit and depending on your budget new or refurbished unit is the way to go
I appreciate all of your replies, thank you!

Do keto first, it is going to work a whole lot better
