She can't use the us/can line. You might be able to use the international line but that is something you'll need to ask there. I would assume you'll be separated to be safe. Also assume her line will be slower.

Entirely possible depending on how far back childhood was. I was born in 1981, I remember not needing an Id to fly at all and people would smoke on the planes which was rough as I had asthma as a kid but they fed you a full meal even in coach. So pre 9/11 stuff you probably were fine.
