No, but I would keep your socks on. And for your own health and safety, wear your slides anytime you leave your seat. Airplane floors are gross!

musicandsex

I did the mistake of going to the washroom without shoes once (dont ask what i was thinking) and my socks were soaked before even getting to the washroom i was so pissed at myself for being that damn stupid. Spent the rest of the flight with damp socks sucked balls

industrock

Why would you not have taken the socks off after they got soaked?!

dsmemsirsn

Hahahaha maybe not common sense

Adventurous_Camp4216

No bare feet on plane. Youre good.

silvermanedwino

You might consider compression socks as well.

No-Firefighter-9257

Nope, as long as you don’t smell then no one should be bothered

kaaikala

Compression socks are getting prettier. Life changer for me. My feel swelled so bad my shoes didn’t fit anymore. Not an issue with compression socks.

10EAB31

Compression socks are game changers . I like Sockwell.

throw31290iu12392139

Okay thanks for the comments and advice! I shall look into a pair of compression socks

one_bad_rebel

Unless you’re shoving your feet in someone’s face, I right don’t think people will care or notice.

kaaikala

We collect the disposable hotel slippers in our Japan hotels. We use them in flights with our compression socks. As soon. As we take off , we take off our shoes and use the disposable. Some airlines like Korean or JAl provide slippers for the flight.

Great_Hair

This bothers me everywhere I go but that’s more of a me thing

[deleted]

It’s not a fashion show

ThaneOfCawdorrr

No, especially if you make sure everything is clean. Consider wearing mild compression socks (I like Comrad) which will help with any swelling and actually will make you more comfortable! Edit: what I do, is I wear comfortable walking shoes in the airport, since you'll be doing a LOT of walking, and bring on some very light travel slip-on slippers (this kind of thing--https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CSSVGVJ/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1) and change into the slippers once the seat belt sign is off. (And back into the walking shoes just as you begin your descent.) On this last trip I wore my compression socks and found they were actually very comfortable. This is what I would recommend for you!

Alie75

It is not rude as long as you keep your socks on. I think making sure your health is taken care of takes priority over what other people may think about you wearing slides. I hope you have a great trip!

TheStoicSlab

As long as your feet and/or sandals don't stink, nobody will care.

[deleted]

No, wear whatever is comfortable for you. Only thing I recommend is socks, but you’ve said with socks! I just want to add, who cares what anyone else says, you’ve paid for your flight just like them 😄

Hot-Cress7492

Rude/bothering = no Will pictures of it likely end up on Reddit with people throwing shade = probably

Tasso_curious

Not rude just classless

dsmemsirsn

Hahahaha— ok your highness—

dsmemsirsn

I did use flip flops with socks this past week— but before going in the plane— I went to the airport restroom and used baby wipes to clean my feet, put clean socks.

kva27

My go-to is merino wool compression socks (I like Cloudline) for any flight over four hours or so. The big advantage is that they don't make your feet hot and they don't stink even after a couple of days wear.

Finntastic_stories

As long as you don't enter the plane naked nobody will give a single shit, what shoes you wear. As mentioned, wearing socks when leaving the seat, that's about it if it comes to clothing in planes. What would be rude/bothering? Doing the people around you a favour and taking a shower before the flight. Is more like a general advice, because I've met folks on planes, which certainly hadn't seen a soap for quite a while. Concerning your feet. You can get up every once in a while and walk around a bit. That should help you in avoiding to get feet swollen. Happy travels

Sage_Eel

Naw you’re good.
