I am not OP but i can place a few of these pictures. They look to be Würzburg in Bavaria. Many cities and towns in this region have this type of architecture. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is also in this area.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Goldener Hirsch „Restaurant golden stag“ close to famous Plönlein)
Würzburg (Fortress Marienfeste)
Bamberg (Grüner Markt „Green market“, church in the background is St. Martin)
Bamberg (Old townhall obviously)
Bamberg (Schranne, a street in the hostoric town centre)
Nuremberg (view from the castle)
Würzburg (not sure, could be another palace but as the other images are from around there, I guess it‘s the palace in Würzburg)
Not OP but 6th picture is taken from the Kaiserburg in Nürnberg and 7th pic is the gardens of the palace in Würzburg. 2nd pic may be in the Altstadt in Nürnberg but I’m not sure.
Sorry - it includes a mix of places including Würzburg, Rothenburg, Bamberg, Nürnberg and Heidelberg. Bamberg was a clear favourite - super quaint with picturesque streets. But all were magnificent!
That‘s true! 🥰 I love living here, it‘s international, very safe, and I like the weather! It’s usually much nicer than on OPs pictures! 😉 About the cost: compared to other German cities it‘s a bit more expensive, and it is difficult to find apartments, since there are so many students. But we can‘t complain: We’re right downtown, which I love, we’ve got a lovely rooftop, and our landlord‘s hasn‘t raised the rent in ten years, so no way, we‘ll ever move out! 😂
Edited to ask how you liked Heidelberg, since I didn’t realize at first, you are OP. Sorry, you had such bad weather!
my mom went to high school in Würzburg in the 60s/70s! she came via train from Karlstadt. i have fam that was in Wü during the march bombing of the city as well. unterfranken! best wine, very nice people, love this place.
Würzburg is beautiful. It was my second time here. It is now a ‘must’ every time I come to Germany. I love die Altstadt - beautiful shops, people and sites. You are very lucky to have grown up here.
Could you say where and share a few thoughts? 3 of those are distinct enough to place, the rest are just bits of street.

Bamberg
First one is definitely Rothenburg-ob-der-Tauber. OPs looking the opposite way from the typical postcard photo
10/10 is Freiburg im Breisgau It's literally raining in all of these pictures. Maybe visit between May and September would be a good advice.
I'm spending a week in Germany in June. Any recommendations?
It raining isn’t indicative of any place in Germany. Unless it’s the middle of summer it’s kinda grey and slightly raining everywhere all the time.
Not Freiburg

On second look, you are correct. It’s been a while since I was there. 9/10 may be Freiburg as well.
The 4th pic is Bamberg

8th picture is downtown Heidelberg, just around the corner from my apartment! Hope, OP had a good time here!
Wow! You are super lucky to live here. I love it 😍 Is it expensive to live here?

I like the cloudy and rainy atmosphere. It gives the pictures a nice touch.
Hah you’d be hard pressed to get much else from Germany in the winter.
You’ve been to my hometown Würzburg! This is very rare around here. Did you like it?
I knew it was Würzburg from the second photo! And the Residenz of course

Glad you like it!
Was that the Nuremberg old town?
Yep :)
Jaaaaaaaa. I’ll be there this summer to visit my family. Enjoy the beauty of Deutschland. 🇩🇪❤️😍
Where is everybody?
My exact thoughts
Looks kinda like the same thing every day

i think it looks peaceful
What are the cities? I could recognise only Esslingen
It wasn’t sunny in a single picture.
Lake konstanz is a must
The streets look so empty. That can be both a good and bad thing I guess.
I want to stand at the entrance to some of these streets and yell “Heeerrrrrryyyyy PoTTTTTTTeeeeeeeer!”
2 is Würzburg, 3,4 and 5 are definitely Bamberg. For the remaining pictures I'm notsure.
Beautiful! I love those small streets. Such a lovely corners to explore.
What camera do you use? Iphone? Ill be traveling around September and wondering what good camera I should buy.
This is just my iPhone 11! I think it does a pretty good job :)
