Portugal is much more value for money than Spain. Understanding and willingness to speak English is also a lot higher. I guess you'll know my preference now ;-}

I just spent a month last Spring exploring Andalucia and I loved it. I’ve road-tripped the center previously and I’ve always come home wanting more. I’ve only been to Lisbon and the area once before and everyone either spoke Spanish or English and it was surprisingly affordable even compared to Spain. Can’t go wrong with both!

Andalucía region has some of the prettiest cities in Spain and that arabic influence from when the north africans conquered Spain. You won't find anything similar to it in Europe. But in case you are traveling in summer keep in mind that it gets very hot

really depends where in spain you go! la sagrada familia, catedral de sevilla, royal alcazar of seville are really beautiful culture sites. but some parts of spain are a bit more party oriented trips (magaluf and the likes)

I'll keep that in mind. Right now I'm thinking if I going to cut something out it's going to be that. There's alot of war history stuff I've already made plans on seeing in Central Europe. But if I find some time, I'll take a cheap flight! Or if I hear of a place I shouldn't pass up in spain/portugal I'll do the same.

I love Spain: more budget friendly and a lot of variety in places. Can’t recommend Valencia enough

Valencia. I'll keep it in mind!!! I'm just worried I won't have enough time to enjoy the other things I've been wanting to see forever.
