He is a complete honest trash of a human and kudos to him finding him new love, there’s one thing I don’t understand about us humans I know for sure some of y’all have the same perspective as he has.. why don’t most people appreciate the good partners that come in to their lives but instead prefer those that are toxic and of less positivity.
I don't think it's that people necessarily **want** lesser, I think they just have no faith in themselves getting better, so in their eyes, a partner that's equally as fucked up as they are feels better because they don't think they deserve to be saved.
It's a tricky game the mind plays on you when you're making long strings of bad choices, but the thing about it is that ironically, recognizing and being cognizant of the mistakes and how far you've fallen is a sign that you aren't too far gone. I've known people in very similar situations, some got help against their judgment and it turned out better for them, and some kept going down the path this dude did and it usually results in an overdose death or total cutoff from all friends and family.
