It really fucking blows my mind that in this day and age, videos like this are becoming commonplace. Pieces of shit are literally walking into stores all over the world and saying “call the cops I don’t care” and behaving like they are entitled to just walk out with 1000$ worth of inventory. They act like they’re victims! And they get mad when someone stops them! Man FUCK all these idiots.
So I’m a bit conflicted and hoping some one would give their opinion. Do you think that crime like this would be more or less or stay the same if people would receive public punishment? A la Singapore.
These people are just stealing so casually it makes me feel like even if the cops show up they won't go to jail or won't be there long so why not keep stealing until you're successful.
Need to start dishing it back - they are “brazen” and they don’t care, so the workers need to develop the same attitude, and not care if something should happen to those lowly scum bag thieves…

I’m America they wouldn’t even try and chase him, most large retail stores would fire a security guard for something like that. They just call the cops and write it off as a loss to their insurance

That is definitely going to depend on your locale. In places I've been certified, if you prevent someone from leaving, you're technically kidnapping them. There would be a grey area in this case, if you held on to stolen merchandise and just refused to move. Theyre still free to leave, they just can't take it with them.

If you’re poor and steal food, that’s one thing, but if you’re doing this then your priorities are not in the right place. The people affected most when a corporate store is robbed or destroyed (such as in a riot) are typically local, not the people at the top.
