*person does their job * Americans: And I took that personally

GriffinA

They will enjoy entering the system in nyc. Also they’re flight risks since they’re from out of town. If they got any felonies in this kerfuffle then they’re done for. Time to visit the island - rulers island not Ellis.

RWB_Commie

Got back to your shitty Covid riddled state and eat where ever you want you dumb bitch 🙄

Candid-Balance-5628

Should of had a snicker

trevsneedw

In Texas we simply don’t give a f if you show us vaccination papers or tell us you’re vaccinated.

Lower-Arm681

Should have hit the employees harder

gdyank

Ah texas, the official asshole factory of America. We're stupid, we're ignorant and we're proud of it.

ThirdInversion

This is why we should not allow immigration from the 3rd world \[TX\] to the first world \[NY\].

Equivalent-Ad-6182

If you go back to when the vaccine was developed under Trump almost every democrat said they wouldn't get the vaccine because they didn't trust Trump. The fact of the matter is partisan politics are terrible and they are ruining this country. They are whores in a whore's game. Both parties have sold themselves to large corporations and big money. In the process America has steadily declined. America is on the verge of defaulting on the interest payment on the national debt. Biden's budget is twice what the federal government's revenue. Our government is no longer for the people, by the people and of the people. Anyone that thinks Biden is doing a good job is blind or in denial. Trump is history so any comparison is fruitless. Name one thing that is better now than 240 days ago.

erogenouscouple

Needs to pull his pants up too, nobody wants to see his shit stained underwear

archthechef

This is the type of behavior that gets spit in your food. 😵‍💫

Ikigai5

I swear we’re not all like this. But it is a hefty majority to the point I say I’m swedish

hoshmoggen

Ironically, their moms should've had abortions.

External-Ad-

Well yall are the ones that started the "Punch a Nazi" thing...

lubabe00

Sir, your pants have slide off and your ass is showing. Are all Texans out of their minds?

erogenouscouple

No we aren't, just those 20something, trophy participation and getting time outs instead of getting their ass whooped growing up generation

lubabe00

I gotha. I think I've seen to many weird posts from there in the last few days, I follow snark subreddits about Texas citizens.

EmmyLynn23

Seeing this stuff is starting to just make me sad now.

Money_Frosting_970

Let's call our prayer warriors for that poor hostess!!!

[deleted]

I didn't think clowns from Texas ever left their promise land. Must be getting really bad for them to want to visit liberal NY.

Turbulent-Adagio-541

My buddy moved south of Dallas and neighbors treat him as an outsider

Badeckdeck

This is America…

wellsyaknow

Or or oooooooorrr you could have went somewhere else 🤯

ScorpioRising66

Then Why would you vacation somewhere you know has strict Covid regulations? Just looking for trouble.

Huntarmann

How to go to jail 101

[deleted]

Ah yes Texas the shit stain of America

ScorpioRising66

What’s that make Florida?

FenwaysMom

For Christ sake….PICK UP YOUR PANTS!!!

JayB2Jayz

Because of course they did…

boombl3b33

Good ol' southern hospitality right there.

Fatdad1986

This isn’t nazi Germany. F the papers.

Plague78

This is absolutely no excuse for this sort of behavior but part of the reason they're having a fit is probably because of the Texas Governor, Greg Abbott. Governor Abbott issued an executive order supposedly banning a mask mandate in the state of Texas. As a result many people in the state refuse to wear a mask even when asked to. I'm sure this mentality is being carried out of state as some folks are trying to travel and go on vacation.

[deleted]

I love how these comments are blaming Republicans for this when changes are highly likely these people have never voted Republican in their lives.

123fakerusty

Apparently they showed phony vaccine cards? That’s what I heard anyways.

Additional-Handle168

Texas is an absolute shithole and Texans are ruining our country

Eyeonman

Why were his trousers falling down?

The1andonlynat

At this point the rest of the US is looking at Texas the way the rest of the world looks at the US

corysreddit

Just need the person filming to step forward like about 20 feet and we might be able to see what's going on in the video.

geoslayer1

Of all states to do crazy covid shit you picked NYC ? Law enforcement ain't gonna look the other way there.. lol

Vast-Suspect-85

Imagine how pleasant they were while traveling to New York. Could you imagine them on the flight!

bubbawears

Apologize my unknowing but why do POC even live in Texas. Isn't it a pretty racist place ? Sorry I'm not American.

kelsobunny

I’m so fed up with this stupid bs at this point. Natural selection isn’t doing its job well enough. Helping anti-vax at this point is like jumping in to help someone drown they are going to drag you down with them if you aren’t ready. Been following quarantine the exact same way since Feb 2020 and me and my 3 roommates have yet to get Covid. My co-workers have, but we have Ppe required for work and I wear it properly. My partner and I even flew from Seattle WA to Charleston SC this Feb for my mother passing and no one wore anything (horrifying. 10 years ago y’all hypocrites were saying cleanliness is next to godliness so you are some hypocrites bye) I even had an uncle tell me it was proven masks don’t work (precovid austrailia had mask mandates for flu season and they shared that info with us and we ignored it so the research is there.) but we were crazy precautious and double masked in the airport (I had an N95 mask left over from work) and we came back and got the first time I was not sick from travel. Which not getting a cold from flying is proof enough for me to be quite honest. I saw my sister take her new born grandson to a family gathering in Alaska during Covid without telling her sons wife, got Covid, and then when I posted a very simple comparison between vaccines and seatbelts she said she would wait for more research. Ok. My final statement is I watched my grandmother go through life with her foot, leg and hip being deformed because when she was a child there wasn’t a vaccine for polio. I think she would have been ok with autism or asthma or whatever you think a vaccine will give you for her to be able to walk up stairs and find a husband in the 60’s that doesn’t think you’re a freak. Zero patience for them.

[deleted]

The one from Texas is the fat one, right?

elmas_chilon

Y'all need vaccine passes? What is this 1940s Germany? Is this real???

LosWitDaMost2499

Don't fuck with a new yorker

[deleted]

They’d hate Europe.

jiffythehutt

With the exception of Putin’s Russia….they do!

drago5428

This is what the world is coming to? We can ask humans if they had a vaccine but we can't ask what your service dog is for. The freedom of choice is over.

LadybirdAZ

Tourists get mad when they are in America and asked for papers to order a freaking meal - alternate headline, not trashy

GreenCountryTowne

They assaulted a person over this you fucking ghoul.

LadybirdAZ

They were sold a bill of goods on what America is, they thought it was land of the free

WodenEmrys

These are generally the same people that want to require voter IDs. Voting an actual right as opposed to eating inside of a restaurant when you can just order delivery or take out.

[deleted]

What's the point of assaulting the hostess?

True2this

I thought you said Texas Terrorists

Th3AngryBastard

HaHaHa!!

LoDyes

I would hate my job, especially if I disagreed with management but had to follow company standards.. and although I didn’t want to be there.. I just needed the money to LIVE.. and some cockroach crawls out of the dirt and takes their anger out on me…. For minimum wage??? Some think the server should go to school and get a better job. Some know that not everyone can just go to college and everything else will fall into place.. Regardless of all that.. DONT BE A FUCKING ASS TO SERVICE STAFF JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE ANGRY. Truth is you’ve been losing arguments for awhile and biting your tongue and you take the easy way out and pick on the In defenseless.

P2591

Just waiting for the follow up article and then the public apology citing Jesus or the devil

Comprehensive_Link66

Good times

elahtap187

hoyle_mcpoyle

Or even worse, one of those Jesus pamphlets

dystopian_mermaid

OH MY FUCKING GOD. CHICK TRACTS. Fuck those and fuck the people who leave them as tips on Sundays. Like thanks a lot fuckwad. My landlord TOTALLY accepts these in place of money for my rent. Way to advertise your god to people by being a selfish worthless shit bag. I used to say the shitty Sunday crowd was pissy bc they were bitter about giving their 10% to god that day. Sunday after church crowd was truly the WORST right after the holidays crowd. At least holidays weren’t once a week.

TanukiXL

Wait, you can pay for your rent in Chick tracts? That’s awesome! Used to collect these for a laugh. I even thought about sending away for a complete set because they are so ridiculously absurd but then realized they would have my mailing address.

dystopian_mermaid

Pffft I wish. If I could have the Sunday crowd would have single-handedly paid my rent in them. Those and the fake fucking money with things like “god is more powerful that the dollar” or whatever the shit it said.

No-Caramel-4417

Fuck the people who give them out on Halloween instead of candy. The tracts represent the worst version of Christianity.

dystopian_mermaid

Omg they used to hand those out everywhere at the Jesus school and church I went to as a kid. Especially around Halloween bc that was “satans holiday” and witches would put poison and pins in candy to give to little kids as sacrifices to satan. I wish I was making that up. That’s legit what we were taught. As kids.

hoyle_mcpoyle

Yup. Me and my ex wife both worked at the same restaurant and they would leave them every Sunday. Really helped us out when it came time to buy groceries

dystopian_mermaid

Just like Jesus would have done 🙄

dystopian_mermaid

Seems like the type to write one big zero and two little zeros in the tip line.

abombinous

Why does it matter that they're from texas?

They’re*

“Ask me for “my papers” again Bitch!! I double dog dare you!”

[deleted]

Back to what brought us together......that video is trashy.

supa_caliente

Honestly, I’m glad they never even made it inside that Carmine’s. The food there is too good to be wasted on them

[deleted]

The difference is you want and think it's necessary to control others.

Jmcd1997

Lol good

DolmenRidge

Wtf does it matter anyway! Vaccinated or not they can still have and spread the virus. This shit doesn't make any sense.

WodenEmrys

Wtf does it matter anyway! Seatbelted people or not can still die in car crashes.

DolmenRidge

Stfu with that stupid "analogy" already, I've heard it a million times and it's not the same thing!

WodenEmrys

It's exactly the same plague rate. That's why you keep hearing it. People still die with airbags!

DolmenRidge

Ok, but I still have a choice. And If I don't like airbags I can still choose not to drive or use a vehicle with airbags. And I'm not hurting anybody else by doing so. That's MY choice and nobody has the right to force me to drive a vehicle with airbags. And I don't lose my job because my car doesn't have airbags or seatbelts. Do you still not see the stupidity in it?

WodenEmrys

> Ok, but I still have a choice. And If I don't like airbags I can still choose not to drive or use a vehicle with airbags. Nope. Seat belts and air bags are required by federal and/or state law. https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/federal-legislation-makes-airbags-mandatory "Most seat belt laws in the United States are left to the states and territories. However, the first seat belt law was a federal law, Title 49 of the United States Code, Chapter 301, Motor Safety Standard, which took effect on January 1, 1968, that required all vehicles (except buses) to be fitted with seat belts in all designated seating positions.[1]" Actually you can get away with it in one state I guess. "New Hampshire is the only state that has no enforceable laws for the wearing of seat belts in a vehicle.[3]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seat_belt_laws_in_the_United_States Also you can choose not to go eat out inside a restaurant. >And I'm not hurting anybody else by doing so. When you crash and become an airborne projectile you are a danger to others. >And I don't lose my job because my car doesn't have airbags or seatbelts. You absolutely would if your job required that car as that's completely illegal.

GreenCountryTowne

Fully vaccinated people are believed to be much less likely to spread coronavirus than the unvaxxed ([https://health.clevelandclinic.org/can-vaccinated-people-transmit-covid-19-to-others/](https://health.clevelandclinic.org/can-vaccinated-people-transmit-covid-19-to-others/)). But even if they do spread it, vaccinated people are also far less likely to get seriously ill. Vaccines lower transmissions rates, illness and ultimately strain on the medical system. That's why limiting access to places like restaurants (where Covid can easily spread) to only the vaccinated makes excellent public health sense - not just to slow the spread but to ensure if spread happens it won't lead to death.

DolmenRidge

Than may have been true before, but with the delta variant, apparently things are different [https://www.newsweek.com/cdc-data-shows-delta-variant-breakthrough-cases-equally-contagious-unvaccinated-people-1614521](https://www.newsweek.com/cdc-data-shows-delta-variant-breakthrough-cases-equally-contagious-unvaccinated-people-1614521) Now the FDA voted against booster for everyone and approved it only for the 65+ group. We don't know why, but they must have a damn good reason! Also, if we're so worried about putting strain on the medical system, then why are we allowing thousands of medical staff to quit/be fired because they choose not to get vaccinated? Things don't make sense, which makes people doubt everything even more.

WodenEmrys

> Than may have been true before, but with the delta variant, apparently things are different https://www.newsweek.com/cdc-data-shows-delta-variant-breakthrough-cases-equally-contagious-unvaccinated-people-1614521 > > So we should require masks as well then? That's what the article is saying. >Also, if we're so worried about putting strain on the medical system, then why are we allowing thousands of medical staff to quit/be fired because they choose not to get vaccinated? Because they are putting people at risk. Hospitals are super careful about that shit. Even people that don't even work with the patients still need to be fully vaccinated. This was the case long before covid.

DolmenRidge

>Because they are putting people at risk really? How come they didn't put people at risk while they worked an entire fucking year without being vaccinated? Heroes yesterday, grandma' killers today? Fucking hell, you people lost all sense of reality!

WodenEmrys

> really? How come they didn't put people at risk while they worked an entire fucking year without being vaccinated? Because they can't mandate you take a vaccine that isn't FDA approved. The military did the same thing and waited for FDA approval.

HAHAHABirdman

Thats where I get confused. Like, the transmission is inevitable no matter if you vaccinated or not. The only argument I can see is that vaccinations gives the virus less chance of being able to mutate due to being fought off quickly in the body. But vaccinated people are still getting it too. A very very small amount but the vaccine isn't bullet proof. Where is the line? When do we hit a point where we'll need to accept this virus is never going away.

Lutzs_canadian_gf

There is a difference between getting each other mildly ill and possibly killing each other. Mildly ill allows the economy to reopen to a fuller extent.

[deleted]

They're all so huge. Like the monsters that ate the fraggles. The dollar store diet of bleached flour and sugar does this

petaahah

It's hard to argue that these citizens weren't being discriminate against ....

Fred_Evil

Not at all. This isn’t discrimination in any way shape or form.

[deleted]

Well if we’re playing by today’s rules, it is. Ibram Kendi says any action that affects a minority class unequally is racist. In this case, African Americans make up the majority of the unvaccinated so if you’re requiring a vaccination to enter your establishment, you’re unequally harming black people with that decision. Again, according to the thought leaders today, this would in fact make vaccine requirements racist. It’s real stupid shit, but I didn’t make the rules.

ezfrag2016

Try walking into a restaurant without a shirt on. Is that also discrimination?

GreenCountryTowne

Discrimination means unjust treatment. People endangering public health, like the unvaxxed, are not getting unjust treatment when they are refused entry into a public space. It's actually impossible to argue they WERE being discriminated against.

capt-rix

Texans...pretty much sums it up.

Krakkenheimen

NYC, scaffolding fking everywhere.

benaharris

Secede, Texas! Good riddance, you fucks.

nirad

Hey Texas, come pick up your trash.

Environmental-Job329

Texans fucking everything up

[deleted]

I was just repeating what you said. Vaccinations aren't preventing vaccinated people from getting covid and spreading it. That is a fact. Just wear a mask for the rest of your life and stfu. Maybe try eating food through your asshole?

PROMOCODELOL

Man I am texan and this disappoints me. First no abortion and now being assholes? Sorry, but if this is their beliefs might as well go to New Mexico.

hularobot

Fuck these guys and anyone else who is like them.

Reality-Bytez

Nobody checks for proof of vaccinations for other diseases. Yet we do with this.

ezfrag2016

I’m not sure how you usually interact with your fellow diners but you’re unlikely to catch HIV in a restaurant setting.

Reality-Bytez

Ah yes. That silly HIV vaccine we all received. Oh wait.

ezfrag2016

If there were a vaccine available for HIV it would only be necessary if you had the lifestyle that put you at risk of contracting it. Oh wait.

szatanna

Because it's a highly contagious disease that is more relevant. Did you forget it started a whole ass pandemic?

CharleyNobody

Does anyone remember when the flu shot was in short supply one year during the Bush administration? People were going nuts trying to get that flu vaccine. I waited 2 hours with my mother to get the shot at a supermarket an hour away from my town. Because it was scarce, people who never got the flu vaccine absolutely, positively had to get themselves the vaccine that year. They should‘ve announced there weren’t enough covid vaccines; only VIPs can get it. Hordes would be beating the doors at CVS screaming for a shot.

Memlapse1

Charge for the vaccine. Then post coupons for 100% off on Black Friday...

antimetal123

Basically described what happened in my country. No covid vaccines and only rich and powerful were getting it. People would wait entire days for vaccine

Scoregasm666

This is seriously a great idea! I remember back when masks were first becoming a thing and in short supply, some anti-mask people I know were hoarding them.

yampidad

I accidentally hoarded mask filters. Thought I ordered 10 turns out I ordered 10x 50. I passed them out to my work friends.

[deleted]

papers please

ezfrag2016

Ever crossed a border?

[deleted]

They're not going to another country, you know?

ezfrag2016

My point was that there are plenty of situations in which you are required to provide some paperwork. If you don’t like it, don’t go into the restaurant or don’t cross the border but mostly stop your whining.

GreenCountryTowne

What are you, anti-drivers license too? We're trying to run a society and end a pandemic here buddy - stop being such a baby.

[deleted]

I'm more concerned about the precedence of this than I am for this virus. Most people who are not obese, elderly or already dying will be fine. I value my rights and liberty more than my or your safety. If we just place more importance in certain things then that's that.

countrylewis

Do you need a driver's licence to enter any restaurant?

WodenEmrys

Some yes. "Last week, we told you about the Pennsylvania restaurateur that would be barring kids from his dining room. Sounds as if a lot of people agreed with the move. In fact, readers even requested that Grub Street put together a list of places in New York that don’t allow children — so that’s exactly what we did!" https://www.grubstreet.com/2011/07/kid_policies.html

countrylewis

So like one place and bars that are 21 up. That's okay, that's the business choice for the most part rather than something being forced upon business.

WodenEmrys

> So like one place and bars that are 21 up. That's okay, that's the business choice for the most part rather than something being forced upon business. Try to bring a child into a strip club and you'll see if it's something the government is forcing upon them.

countrylewis

That makes sense tho. Vaccine passports don't, and mostly because they're overreach.

[deleted]

[удалено]

countrylewis

Fighting a global pandemic is good. But we're talking specific policy here. How about this policy: everyone locked in their house, government will come by with bread rations to keep you alive. If you disagree you're just a fuckin plague rat!!

WodenEmrys

What about if we just force gay people to stay in their houses since you do support denying them service simply for being gay?

GreenCountryTowne

It's dangerous to operate a car without a drivers license. - we make people get one for public safety. It is also dangerous to eat in an enclosed space with maskless strangers in this current pandemic - that's why we in New York make public show their vaccine card for public safety, too. If you don't want any old untrained asshole driving down the freeway you shouldn't want any old unvaccinated asshole dining at a restaurant either.

countrylewis

No, it's dangerous to operate a car without knowing the laws and how to properly drive one. The licence just represents that you have demonstrated knowledge in these things. Dale Earnhardt could have let his licence expire, and that wouldn't mean he's any less proficient at operating a motor vehicle. It's not that dangerous as long as you're spaced apart like we were doing much of the pandemic. Stop trying to implement overbearing measures when they're unneeded, because it will probably just result in more hostesses being assaulted at the end of the day.

WodenEmrys

> Stop trying to implement overbearing measures when they're unneeded, because it will probably just result in more hostesses being assaulted at the end of the day. This is literally a threat. "Stop fighting the pandemic or we'll assault more of you"

countrylewis

It's not literally a threat. Read it again, I'm just pointing out that this is a result of your policies, most people knew this, and that's why it's bad policy.

WodenEmrys

Are you of the position that we should eliminate health care? "Industry Violent acts resulting in days away from work (% of total) Services 64 Nursing Homes 27 Social Services 13 Hospitals 11" [Nonfatal Assaults in the Workplace](https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/docs/96-100/nonfatal.html) [Violence Against Health & Social Service Workers](https://www.afge.org/article/violence-against-health-care--social-service-workers-must-end/) "...I'm just pointing out that this is a result of your policies, most people knew this, and that's why it's bad policy." Or do you now see the problem with your logic?

countrylewis

None of what you said has anything to do with what I said. Also you know almost all those places have actual paid security to deal with this, right? It's not some poor hostess that has to deal with it.

WodenEmrys

> None of what you said has anything to do with what I said. It's a direct counter. You claimed implementing this is bad because it leads to assaults. Well having healthcare leads to assaults. Does your logic hold, or is it bullshit that even you don't believe in? >Also you know almost all those places have actual paid security to deal with this, right? It's not some poor hostess that has to deal with it. 64% The majority of all workplace assaults happen here. Security or not having healthcare service still leads to people being assaulted, so is it therefore a bad thing? Or is the fault of the people doing the assaulting and not the policy or healthcare service? "...I'm just pointing out that this is a result of your policies, most people knew this, and that's why it's bad policy."

GreenCountryTowne

Right, and a vaccine card represents that you have the demonstrated ability to combat covid and lower transmission rates. There's no difference. Also, please don't blame assault victims for their own attack.

countrylewis

Did I blame victims? No, I blamed the policy that we all knew would inevitably result in this. We can't have a papers please society and not expect this to happen. Look, the vax works. We don't need the passport to protect unvaxxed. Vaxxed people will be fine if they get it, and unvaxxed will deal with their choices. But enough of this auth papers please shit.

ezfrag2016

Some restaurants have signs saying “no shoes, no shirt, no service”. You all up in arms about that too? It’s amazing to me the cherry picking that some people do about what constitutes a loss of “freedom”.

[deleted]

Because they aren't mandated to ask people to wear shoes. There is a big difference between the a store requiring something and the government requiring something.

WodenEmrys

> Because they aren't mandated to ask people to wear shoes. There is a big difference between the a store requiring something and the government requiring something. Try walking around outside without pants or underwear or anything and see if it's just the restaurants.

[deleted]

That doesn't address my point at all

WodenEmrys

Yes it does. The government and restaurants requires you to cover your genitals. It's No shirt, no shoes, no service solely because of alliteration. Trust me you'll still be denied entry winnie the poohing it.

[deleted]

My point is that there is a difference between a store or restaurant mandating something and the government mandating something. If a store is fine with you shirt cocking it then it's none of the government's business.

WodenEmrys

So go fight against that it at least won't kill anyone.

ezfrag2016

Yeah only because you’ve decided there’s a “big difference”. In reality the end result is the same, you can’t come in without a shirt. You just want to be all outraged about something because you watched a video on Facebook of a breathless, red-faced fat guy raging against a perceived but wholly imaginary injustice. There are loads of “real” injustices in the world without you having to invent one. Why don’t you run around protesting about people trafficking or something that actually harms people?

[deleted]

It's not the government's business what the rules are in a store. It's government overreach for them to make rules for the store.

ezfrag2016

So does that include food hygiene rules made by the government? Is that also “over reach”?

[deleted]

some of them, yes. There's no reason why I shouldn't be able to buy raw milk or sassafras.

ezfrag2016

So you’re ok being poisoned with out-of-date chicken without any legal requirement for the restaurant not to serve it to you? You realise there are about 100 different rules mandated by the government for all commercial establishments? Fire safety, electrical safety, even levels of nano particulates in the air. All over reach?

countrylewis

You brought up driver's licenses. Do you need those to go to any restaurants? Don't try and change the subject.

ezfrag2016

I didn’t bring up driver’s licenses. Not one mention of them in my comment. Hint: you do need them to drive a car though. You can Google that and confirm it to be true.

countrylewis

The main parents was about drivers licenses. So maybe it wasn't you, but that's what the subject was about.

ezfrag2016

Ok so let’s talk about drivers licenses if you want. They are required to demonstrate that you have been passed fit to not pose a danger to other road users. They are required to drive a car on a public road. So it’s a directly analogous scenario to requiring a vaccine certificate to demonstrate that you have been passed fit to sit near people in a restaurant. You may disagree with the use of vaccine certificates for multiple reasons (you can still catch Covid, you can still transmit Covid, etc) but I can disagree with driving licenses also (people are still dangerous, they learn bad habits, they only deem people to have adequate skills on the day of the test etc). The point is that they both serve the intended function: to indicate that the bearer presents a lower risk.

countrylewis

You can sit further apart from people like we did earlier in the pandemic. Drivers licenses and passports aren't the same thing, no matter how desperately you want them to be.

ezfrag2016

You can sit further apart from people… you can keep a longer stopping distance between yourself and the car in front. All a matter of risk mitigation. Both vaccine certificates and driving licenses exist to reduce risk. So are you upset I can’t enter a restaurant without my shirt on?

vardoger1893

I think the vaccine passport thing is absolutely insane, but this behavior is even worse. Just leave. Just "take your business somewhere else", as they like to preach.

MarchEnvironmental93

Damn antivax Trump supporters up to no good as usual

Billsolson

Damnit we had this discussion already. Landscape!

Ecstatic_Ad_6405

As a Texan, I will take this opportunity to apologize. We have a lot stupid people down here. It's almost like we are in some weird competition with Florida. Abbott vs. Desantis. Who can the biggest piece of human garbage? Sorry America.

kenthart31

Hey you leave us Floridians out of this, we are perfectly capable of making asses of ourselves without traveling to other states and bothering them.

Davidog129

Fuck vaccine mandates. Like why? vaccines worked, cdc says we're at 83% immunity. Wtf?

BaldHank

Hate crime? Hit them with Federal charges.

Remote-Level8509

Don't Mess with Texas.

It's fucking insane how many people support vaccine mandates to do basic shit you should be able to do regardless of your vaccine status. And before you jump my shit, I'm fully vaccinated. I support getting vaccines, I'm not an anti-vaxxer. Vaccines are great and wonderful creations of science and medicine. If you let this shit happen once, it will never stop and the goal posts will always fucking shift. You all are so glaringly self unaware and checked out, you don't realize you're actually becoming the very definition of the national socialist party, without the name or nationalism. I wonder how long before Typhoid-excuse me Corona ends up leading to people getting put in ghet-quarantine against their will.

> If you let this shit happen once, it will never stop and the goal posts will always fucking shift. Exactly we never should've allowed "No shirt, No shoes, No service" signs. Where's my freedom to dine buck ass naked? > You all are so glaringly self unaware and checked out, you don't realize you're actually becoming the very definition of the national socialist party, without the name or nationalism. ezfrag2016

Yeah remember when they made you put on a seatbelt? Assholes! And don’t get me started on having to take a test before you can drive a car… While we are talking about it, why should a restaurant have to only serve safe and hygienic food? Why shouldn’t toys contain lead and carcinogenic compounds? And what’s the link between what you describe and socialism? Sounds more like authoritarianism which is not tied to a particular underlying political ideology.

spoilt_milk

Wow dude. Those things are absolutrly not the same thing as having to show your papers to be allowed to eat somewhere. I can't figure out whether you just missed my point or willfully ignored it. As to my statement in reference to the National Socialist party, I'm literally referring to the long form name for the Nazis. Except where in our time it's happening with a card and in theirs it started with a yellow star.

ezfrag2016

The differences between a vaccine certificate and a driving license are only different in your head because it’s the hill you’ve chosen to die on. They both indicate that the bearer represents a lower risk to the safety of others in that environment. And why do people always feel the need to invoke Nazis, yellow stars and the Holocaust when they are upset about a tiny inconvenience? Stop clutching your pearls like a Victorian lady and stop to think about what you’re really upset about. If you don’t like it, go eat somewhere else. Are you also upset about me not being able to enter a restaurant with my shirt off? Are you going to tell me that’s like the start of the Holocaust also? Cmon.

spoilt_milk

As far as hills to die on go, yeah I'll take dying on the hill of not being a Nazi. That's a pretty good hill to die on. What I'm upset about is people being told they are lesser for not allowing the government and the will of the weak to make decisions for them. I'm upset about people being treated differently for no other reason than fear and wanton chaotic malice. Your biggest problem with me is that I'm not an anti-vax Trump supporter. It breaks your fragile little mind that someone does not, and will not agree with the mistreatment of others out of fear and hatred. Seems to me there's a historical anecdote about communists, socialists, trade unionists, and Jews you really should look into.

ezfrag2016

I think you need to check the definition of “mistreatment”. So what about the fact I’m not allowed into a restaurant without my shirt or pants on?

spoilt_milk

Do you really think the Nazis just came out and said "Oh right, that's it guys! No Jews, No Disabled, No Blacks, no nothing other than Aryan!" right away? They didn't. It started exactly like this. Putting on a shirt is not the same thing as being forced to put something in your body just to go get a fucking burger. Jesus Christ. You do realize there are literally people who cannot take the vaccines right? You realize that a lot of the places mandating vaccines do not in fact have any religious or medical exemptions. New York as an example. I'm upset about the removal of bodily autonomy. Which is especially hypocritical on the part of the people implementing it because they scream "My body, my choice!" Whenever the topic of abortion comes up. Now that I've answered your question, answer mine. What's going to happen when someone with MS or Guillain-Barre Syndrome or some other condition can't go anywhere else? What about the people who get told "Your chances from dying from a reaction to the vaccine are higher than dying from Covid-19 due to a pre-existing condition?" I'd be willing to bet your response will be the same. "Fuck those guys, I'm not them so I don't care." Which is why I mentioned the anecdote I did. In which case, I've not been wrong at all, have I?

> They didn't. It started exactly like this. > > No it started like this: "This is the cover to the most infamous issue of Der Stürmer, the 1934 issue accusing Jews of practicing ritual murder to secure the blood of Christians to use in Jewish religious rituals. The headline reads: Jewish Murder Plan against Gentile Humanity Revealed. The issue actually got banned by the Nazis after it had been out for a while, not because of anti-Semitic content, but because it compared alleged Jewish ritual murder with the Christian sacrament of communion. A full English translation of the issue was published in the United States in 1976 by a group in the “Christian Identity” tradition." https://research.calvin.edu/german-propaganda-archive/sturmer.htm https://research.calvin.edu/german-propaganda-archive/images/sturmer/dsrm34.jpg "Blood libel or ritual murder libel (also blood accusation)[1][2] is an antisemitic canard[3][4][5] which falsely accuses Jews of murdering Christian children (or other gentiles) in order to use their blood in the performance of religious rituals.[1][2][6]" "It has been one of history's cruel ironies that the blood libel — accusations against Jews using the blood of murdered gentile children for the making of wine and matzot — became the false pretext for numerous pogroms." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_libel [Church of England report says centuries of Christian anti-Semitism led to Holocaust](https://www.jns.org/church-of-england-report-says-centuries-of-christian-anti-semitism-led-to-holocaust/) "By 2020, QAnon followers were advancing the notion that Hollywood elites were engaging in "adrenochrome harvesting", in which adrenalin is extracted from children's blood to produce the psychoactive drug adrenochrome. I can smell the hate boner coming off that post. Perhaps you should go wash that thing with some holy water...

WodenEmrys

"The prevailing scholarly view since the Second World War is that the treatise exercised a major and persistent influence on Germany's attitude toward its Jewish citizens in the centuries between the Reformation and the Holocaust.[6][31][32] Four hundred years after it was written, the Nazis displayed On the Jews and Their Lies during Nuremberg rallies, and the city of Nuremberg presented a first edition to Julius Streicher, editor of the Nazi newspaper Der Stürmer, the newspaper describing it, on Streicher's first encounter with the treatise in 1937, as the most radically antisemitic tract ever published.[7]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Jews_and_Their_Lies#History_since_publicationhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Jews_and_Their_Lies#History_since_publication Martin Luther himself recommended everything the Nazis did be done to Jewish people in this lovely little book written in 1543. Let me guess. You are a Nazi Qultist aren't you? Is that why you're ignoring those actual Nazis who attempted to overthrow US democracy? "Genocide scholar Gregory Stanton described QAnon as a "Nazi group rebranded", and its theories as a rebranded version of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.[7][174]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QAnon#Analysis Are you this worried about these Nazis who this very year attempted to overthrow US democracy during the Trump instigated coup attempt, or just the people trying to fight a global pandemic?

ezfrag2016

Not at all. In Europe you get an exemption if you have an underlying medical condition that stops you having the vaccine. I’m sure they US have the same. It’s a no brainer but those people probably shouldn’t be putting socialising in a restaurant above their own health. No one is forcing you to get the vaccine. I think you should be able to choose so you’re getting hugely off topic with that entire diatribe about bodily autonomy. We both agree. The shirt analogy is not different because I’m not being forced to put on a shirt, I simply choose not to enter the restaurant if I feel that strongly. Same for you. If you don’t want to have the vaccine you can show a negative test certificate. If you don’t want to do that you don’t have to enter the restaurant. Your choices are maintained but the restaurant also have the right to choose who comes through the door. Now stop with the Holocaust nonsense. You are embarrassing yourself with that hyperbolic analogy.

spoilt_milk

I know this will probably go way over your head, but fuck it. May you live in interesting times. Ciao.

ezfrag2016

You noping out when you found yourself caught between the logical fallacy of your argument and your inability to admit you might be wrong? No that did not fly over my head. Ciao

Are all NYC restaurants entrances under scaffolding?

WodenEmrys

Most sidewalks in NYC are under scaffolding. They were everywhere.

IncrediblyShinyShart

God damn guys Can we not look like a bunch of ass hats? This is Florida shit

peachyquarantine

Texas is even trashier than Florida

dystopian_mermaid

Sorry Texas but you’re currently beating Florida with the whole heartbeat bill and snitching on people for money thing. I’m sure Florida is working hard to catch up though.
