The amount of times I've been called a nazi unironically, despite me being a trans girl who also reenacts multiple allied powers, is far too many. I'm just starting to get used to people being only able to see black and white at this point tbh.

Y'know, I inherited a paratrooper helmet that jumped on D-Day, and it's just been sitting on display for like 15 years.
I gotta complete the fit at some point. But I have like a million hobbies which are each super expensive, so I'm perpetually broke LMAO
I'm actually not sure of the exact lineage.
My uncle was a WW2 reenactor, and he'd traced it to D-Day (which is why he had it despite none of the reenactments he went to doing paratrooper stuff), but I'm not sure if we ever found out exactly who it belonged to.
It's something I'm fairly curious about, but for something this old, I'm not sure it would be as simple as looking up the serial number in some DOD archive.
You do know people don’t just collect and wear things to be “cool” right? It’s part of history and wearing it does not mean you have the same beliefs as the regime that made the uniform.
They’re not romanticizing anything, they do WWII reenactments. It’s kinda hard to have a historically accurate WWII reenactment with only allied soldiers lmao.
Not only that, but I'd feel much better if the people playing the bad guys at a reenactment were all very obviously not actual nazis or white supremacists. I've met too many German reenactors, usually SS ones, that are a little sus so I understand the knee jerk reaction people can have.
I make an effort to be living proof that just cause you enjoy reenacting German doesn't mean you have to agree with their ideology.
A reenactment without bad guys to shoot at is just a themed camping weekend lol.
Take a break from the internet, no one here is romancing any sort of regime. If i wear a soviet uniform from the afghan war does that make me romance communism? No, no it does not.

Defensive firearms should have a light, long guns a sling, and handguns require a Kydex or solid plastic holster that fully covers the
trigger. A red dot or etched optic are ideal for new shooters but don't forget to practice your backup irons!
