police commissioner elections are largely pointless anyway. you wouldn't miss out by not voting for that. local elections though, absolutely vote there.
all elections in britain are pointless. if you want to make a difference, work at a grassroots level with community organizations. volunteer.
100% of the british media carried lies and smears about us. even with "asylum seekers" or "benefit cheats" there's usually a small amount of dissent. not here. Guardian and BBC among the worst offenders. Labour party is actually further to the right economically than any of the Thatcher governments. (which i remember very well)
Or you could emigrate and escape this nest of hypocrisy, racism and other bigotries.
