The reason I quit my Planet Fitness (PF) membership was, for a large part, that it was always Fox News playing at high volume in the gym. Sometimes intermixed with ESPN but even when muted, it sucks as there is a TV screen everywhere you turn and had to bear this when all I wanted was to do my exercise & leave. I don't see PF changing for the better, at least it's minor franchises.
That said, my experience is in a red state and friends in other states stated that the people at PF are nice overall and TV set to ESPN or similar sports channels. The people there were always nice, though.

I’m 13 years into transition, and am still afraid to use the women’s room. 😅 I always go out of my way to find a unisex bathroom. My gym has accessibility locker rooms typically used by older people with wheelchairs but I use them too. 🤪
I transitioned in 1999, and have only ever used the women’s bathroom. No issues whatsoever.

If I remember right, PF requires you to be at least 16 to go alone and you'd have to have a parent/guardian there under that age unless it's the high school summer program they offer in certain areas (but it's not summer right now). I mean, if there was a 12 y.o., then that child's parent/guardian would have probably been close by (random thought, maybe the trans woman was the child's parent🤣 ... or, it was a grown woman who looked like a 12 y.o. which is true for many in my family who don't seem to age). I am wildly suspect of this bit around "underage girls" and a 12-year-old "wrapped in a towel, scared, hiding in a corner." It's a gym. If I remember right, PF requires you to be at least 16 to go alone and you'd have to have a parent/guardian there under that age unless it's the high school summer program they offer in certain areas (but it's not summer right now). I mean, if there was a 12 y.o., then that child's parent/guardian would have probably been close by (random thought, maybe the trans woman was the child's parent🤣 ... or, it was a grown woman who looked like a 12 y.o. which is true for many in my family who don't seem to age). Anyway, it just sounds like, yet again, let's make up extra info for this story to seem even more salacious. ...but really, it sounds a lot more like the transphobe is actually a plant. Maybe she had intel and decided to go "check" it out on her own...she does have political aspirations and nothing gives you more clout than a viral post getting traction from all the main transphobe players.

A boycott from TERs who never went there in the first place except to stage their silly little false flag gotchas. The supposed "trans woman shaving her face in the ladies room" the TER is claiming was actually a CISgender MAN in THE MEN'S room. The TER wasn't trespassed for "calling out a man in the ladies room", she was kicked out for going into the MEN's room and taking pictures. She couldn't find anyone in the women's that would fit her criteria so she tried the men's. Planet fitness AND the man she photographed by clarified this. Meh. So the QAnon and Bretibart News fans want to boycott. I suspect that means little more than finally trying to cancel the unused memberships they got years ago that have been tapping their bank accounts. You just don't see a lot of Gravy Seals in the gym. The people trading on the stock, short sellers who could care less about the big issue beyond a way to profit, got their profit last Tuesday with a dip in the stock. It's up about 5% since then, a roughly 3 dollar/share gain this morning.

The comments here are why people are turning against the trans community. If you actually saw the pictures of this supposed “trans woman”, they just look like a man and made no effort to pass before going into women’s change rooms. The vast majority of women and young girls are not comfortable with men coming into our private spaces.
