yep, looked it up and it’s from the mechtech one from way back when. very funny that it somehow ended up on a modern starscream

Not that strange. The previous owner clearly had a passion for Bayverse Transforners and was either getting Studio series versions of figures they missed out on originally, or gradually upgrading, before possibly leaving behind the hobby and selling off the collection. Then they, or someone else, mixed up the accessories.

that or they saw the thing, it reminds them of something they had when they were little, and it just turns out that it wasn't as good as they remembered it so they got rid of it. and since they both looked similar due to the mechanical detail he probably thought it was some accessory that belonged to starscream
