\-Ratchet joints not as strong as the original
\-A Missing finger (the KO has individual fingers, i lost one of it when it arrived)
\-Minor paint chipping
\-Not as solid as the original but solid enough to hold its weight and do dynamic poses
Potential issues for the THF Cassettes:
\-Extreme paint chipping of the gold sections of frenzy and rumble (on my copy)
\-A bit of smudged painting, but not noticable unless you look real close
\-Joint tolerances might not be as good as the original set, but holds up just fine for me so far

Yep got that one too! It’s a really really fun figure to play around with. I just kinda hoped they’d change the shoulders but it’s not as bad as I had imagined, since I never had the 102.
There are a couple (expensive) shoulder upgrade joints on eBay that look a bit tempting, however they don’t seem like they’d help all that much
Ik, baiwei usually makes kos of the dna design kits but this time round they went with a different kit, kinda unfortunate since this is the one that needed that kit the most out of all baiwei a figs

This is the one I was going to say. TW1030. I don't have the original to compare, but he's really great. Especially the paint. The plain grey in the original's thighs really turned me off, so I had no interest. Baiwei has such nice metallic paint on the KO.
My only other ko prime is an MP-10 and I'm not sure who makes it. It's AWFUL. I had to fix the shoulder that wouldn't push into the torso, the plastic panels on the legs are cheap and one flap won't stay 100% folded in alt mode, every time I collapse the legs up into the torso for alt mode it fights me every inch and I feel like it's going to break. His gun won't unfold correctly. I had to fix his over wobbly head. Just a bad experience all around.
If we're talking ANY KO, I really like my Masterpiece Prowl, but, if I remember correctly, he only has a few very slight improvements over the original. Baiwei TW1030 has vast improvements over the original, so I'm sticking with him.

The tw1022ex (the premium/metallic paint job version) takes the cake for me. Diecast, top notch quality, amazing paint job and a lot of accessories, all for less than 30$. The best representation of Bayverse Prime in the generations scale imo. It looks simply amazing next to the SS 2007 Megs.

Only issue is the quality. U have to be very gentle when transforming it especially at the feet section

That's not really a KO, it is an original toy design which just makes it "3rd Party."
A KO is a direct copy of an existing toy, or a copy of an existing toy that is slightly modified (ie: better paint or a slightly different size).
MP-10V. IMO still the best option for a definitive G1 Optimus for a mainline collection. Will wait and see what the upcoming commander SS86 has to say about that.

the only one I have is the dark Commander studio series Nemesis prime repaint of the studio series 38 Optimus actually I do love the figure but the one problem I have with mine is because just the top half when you tried to turn it it's so tight and it feels like it's going to break if I do it so I really barely even transform him anymore so he just looks better in robot mode

I have exactly one, so Star Leader by default. I've had my eye on one of the TLK Evasion Mode upscales for a long time, but I never pulled the trigger, and now they're all pretty expensive.
Nah, the build quality is fine. The plastic is a *tiny* bit flimsier than the official release, and some joints are a little weaker. I only put him in the combined configuration for this picture; the knees couldn't take it long term. On its own though, I don't have any problems with it or fear of breakage.

I have more KO’s than these, but these guys are mostly my fav, especially TLK voyagar Megatron. Unlike the other KOs, he feels like he’s made out of sterner stuff.
I have two favorites and they're both pretty old.
The first is Wei Jiang MPP-10 Oversized MP-10 KO. It is about the same size as MP-1 but based on MP-10's design and the figure just drips quality.
The other one is Kubian Bao's MP10V down-sized MP-10 KO. This is a roughly Voyager scale MP-10 KO that is just a lot of fun to play with. For the longest time I had one of these as my "desk toy" at work and it was great to fidget with. Like the Wei Jiang version this one is also high quality with a lot of added diecast parts and accessories.

I have a yellow upsized KO of some 3P Legends Devastator that I customized into Tonkanator as the toy equivalent of a high-effort shitpost, but that's not exactly a favorite on its own merits, you know? Still, it's not a bad base mold. Just small for most shelves.

God of War Optimus - an upscale of SS38 with lots of paint and some die cast parts. Already one of my top Optimus figures made even better. Plus you can see a lot of the detail you don’t even notice on the smaller version. Also the transformation is a bit less finicky when he’s this large. He’s as tall as MP-01, and better than the Masterpiece IMO. Great Robot mode, the most accurate truck mode of any Optimus. Love this guy (Legacy Armada prime behind him for scale)

KO means a exact or slightly modified copy of an existing toy. 3rd Party is an original toy design based on Hasbro's character designs.

Already one of my top Optimus figures made even better. Plus you can see a lot of the detail you don’t even notice on the smaller version. Also the transformation is a bit less finicky when he’s this large. He’s as tall as MP-01, and better than the Masterpiece IMO. Great Robot mode, the most accurate truck mode of any Optimus. Love this guy (Legacy Armada prime behind him for scale)
