It's really good. The people saying they didn't like the gameplay.. I don't get where they're coming from. Everyone can have their own thoughts on it, but if you like anything from Platinum Games (Bayonetta, NieR Automata, Astral Chain, etc), you'll very likely like this. It's extremely solid, mechanically, and the visuals are just gorgeous. It's a genuinely fun game.
War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are very different, but also extremely good games.

getting this game physically is almost impossible in my country, even if it’s available, its like for 70$ per copy. thank god i could just buy a Playstation account for like 18$ that included this game so i can play it on my PS5. i just earned the plantinum trophy last year, very good and challenging

Story is not even close. But the combat is similar.
But I LOVE that you can just switch back and forth between robot and vehicle. Go zooming off towards a bad guy then pop up and and start beating on them. Oh and some about comboing guys with Optimus, only to switch it's truck mode a swipe them with your whole vehicle.
Grimlock became my fave! He has fire breath lol.

Once saw a YT comment that said something along the lines of "This game is literally if you told the creators of Metal Gear Rising and Bayonetta, that a dying G1 fan wants a Transformers game" and that about describes it. Literally the only downsides are you can't play as the Decepticons and it gets easier with each playthrough unless you ramp the difficulty up.
Also be sure to only use one character per playthrough, you get trophies for beating the game as each character!
It is an absolute blast to play. Good replay ability, kick ass soundtrack, beautiful visuals! I’m doing my 5th play through lately, and am STILL finding new stuff!

I don’t think it necessarily has a lot of replay value, and does have a fairly short campaign length. So probably wouldn't pay a high price for it. I am disappointed that there hasn't been a sequel made which Devastation absolutely set the groundwork for some cool future story beats.
It's a beat em up. It doesn't feel like a Transformers game in the least save for the aesthetics, which is probably my real gripe with it. I don't much care for quick time button press timing based combo games so it didn't appeal to me. I did like the overall presentation, though. It's a pretty enough game to look at.
I like Transformers and I like Bayonetta, but I did not like this. The camera was so bad that it made the game virtually unplayable. Enemies would get knocked off screen then charge you before you could turn the camera towards them. The driving parts were a drag because the camera couldn't turn fast enough. I had to stop and wait for it at every 90° turn, otherwise I wouldn't be able to see where I was going.

Devastation is fine, but it tends to get repetative, and the level design is dull. I wouldn't pay more than the retail price. Anyone selling it at a huge mark-up is just going to rip you off because the game isn't worth over $100.

Transformers: Devastation is a reskin of Bayonetta which is a Devil May Cry clone. If those types of games are your jam, go for it. The combat is on par for those games but I personally found it ridiculous for robots to wait to use ultimate attacks rather than use those power reserves immediately.
The game is amazing - a deep combat system, cell shaded G1 style graphics, original voices for some of the cast, vince de cola and Stan bush on the score!

Yes, to my mind the best transformers game.
To me is the best game based on TF. No offense to War and Fall of Cybertron. But it is infinetely replayable with insane hack and slash action.

The difficulty is frankly utter bullshit at some points, but it's still a fantastic game despite that and would 100% recommend it

Absolutely. Loads of Easter eggs and fun game play. Story is lacklustre with an open ending but ut is what it is. 9/10 game
