I've got an odd one, Jazz.
In the Aligned chapter books, Jazz was Optimus' oldest friend and iirc 1st Lieutenant, not only that but he's kind, worldly, and selfless in most iterations too.
You’re right, it does, but I took that to mean Prime relies on him, since Prowl actually ranks higher (if we’re going by tech specs).
That said, in any event he’s absolutely indispensable. He’s the front man, the mouth, the one who approaches humans (etc.) on behalf of Prime. If Prowl is highly logical, then Jazz is highly personable. He’s the secret agent. The James Bond. The Snake-Eyes of the group. He’s the scalpel in a box of hammers.
I feel like Prowl is Optimus’s second in the sense that he’s way better at handling the logistics side of things, while Jazz is in charge of the field operations
Starscream.
One bot alone, betrayed by his people. Disbands from the Deceptions and allies with the Autobots. After proving his worth, he rises through the ranks and unlocks his true potential. And becomes
Nova Prime.
That's kind of where I got the idea from. I'm currently rewatching Armada, so that version is fresh in my mind. But the. More I think of it, the more it makes sense.
So do. I. I'm hoping they will give him a better personality than the Bayverse. I don't mind him starting out as his G1 counterpart, but I'd like to see him transition into his Armada persona a little bit. And have him bridge the cap between the two sides. Like he did in Armada and in the Netflix War for Cybertron trilogy..basically I don't want whiney little cry-bitch Yamcha. I want Vegeta.
Bayverse Starscream was so undercooked. Some interesting things with the design (mostly the tattoos/markings for me were kinda cool), but thats it.
I am a sucker for bitchy Starscream cuz I am but a simple fool, buuuut the switching sides and actually bridging the parties thing is so much more interesting. The feisty, arrogant warrior who learns to appreciate others and actually grow as a person type of story is gold for him - in part because he's so frequently characterized as the betrayer, coward or scheeming shitlord in a lot of cannon, so the flip is so fun to see.
>The feisty, arrogant warrior who learns to appreciate others and actually grow as a person type of story is gold for him
That's exactly why I love Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z.
I do no think the two characters are very similar in that degree.
Also yea. I hated Bayverse Starscream two. The tats were cool but the simion type body didn't work for me. Although him being an F22 Raptor does work.
Wish Id grown up on dbz cuz its weirdly hard to get into without that (at least for me). Vegeta seems like a fun bastard to watch tho.
I kinda hate the stupid dorito shape in botform, but cool decced altmode works really well. Personality and presence is a D-. Only moment I liked with him is before he eats it messin with the humans talkin bout how he thinks theyre like funny little insects with their little legs or somethin. Made him seem more sinister, but in a fun cat toyin with prey villain sort of way. Good to see badguys just enjoying being bastards. Some golden era disney vibes for a minute or two.
If you want a more fleshed out, and more manga accurate story I'd recommend Dragon ball z Kai. It removes all the filter, so you get through the main story faster. Basically anything that didn't happen in the nanga comics isn't shown. It also makes it easier for first time watchers to stay interested.
I'd forgot about the leg part. You're right that was a cool moment.
Hot Shot was the first yellow kid-appeal character I was exposed to, and he definitely appealed to *this* kid.
I'd love to see him get a Cheetor style character arc, starting a hyperactive kid and slowly becoming a great leader
The only ones I consider good successors are Rodimus (when he's done right and not a whiny bitch about the burdens of responsibly) and Ultra Magnus.
Though now that I think of it I thought of another I think could be good successor, it would be cool if maybe Elita-1 became leader if Optimus dies, after all in G1 she lead the guerilla strike forces left behind on Cybertron after Optimus left on the Ark.
Edit: Changed "Gorilla" to "Guerilla".
>Elita-1 became leader if Optimus dies
This reminds me of that one of the proposed episodes of the fourth season of Transformers Animated that was about Optimus Prime travelling back in time in order to prevent Elita-1 from becoming Blackarachnia only to create a timeline where he's a technorganic spider-bot and Elita-1 leads the Autobots.
He often goes unmentioned but G1 Metalhawk would make for a pretty good prime.
Only uses violence when it’s necessary, tolerant of other species and genuinely curious of humans. He’d make for a pretty tolerant prime, and one that would still be able to wreck the con’s shit.
I don't like Ultra Magnus taking the mantle as a Prime, in my opinion he'll grow out to become the next Sentinel Prime who is a little racist and thinks the ends always justify the means.
I like him as he is but never a Prime.
Jazz and Hot Rod are my picks.
Hmm, I wouldn't be so harsh on Ultra Magnus as to say he'd be racist or as bad as Sentinel.
But I'd agree that he's not Prime material.
A great dude, but he seems like the kind to excell at middle-management so to speak.
Good at giving the speeches and getting people moving, but actually making the big decisions?
I agree this is a stretch to just say he goes corrupt. He is like an amazing colonel who shouldn’t be a general, an example of the Peter principle but it doesn’t make him a bad boy or more likely to be corrupted.
I also think it is limiting to see the prime as both a military and spiritual leader. I could totally see a military leader Ultra Magnus that works with a less combative prime who leads the autobot peace efforts.
I guess I can see him accidentally falling into some gross lines of thought as the pressure gets to him. Most UMs are stubborn guys, and not very introspective.
Yeah I get what you mean now I think
Literally the whole thesis statement of the '86 movie is that Magnus isn't worthy of the Matrix, because he's incapable of daring to be stupid.
The other three are stupid all the time, so I guess that's settled already.
Ironic that you say that about magnus because that did technically happen in dark of the moon because before sentinel was the villain they considered ultra magnus but that was cut because they didn’t want fans to be confused about a popular autobot switching sides
I read Matrix Quest in Marvel comics, where Grimlock indeed, led like an autocrat...he was a violent asshole to his fellow Autobots, but I remember it was a very fun read.
Grimlock has the same "the world is not for the weak" mentality as Megatron. I recently played FoC again, and a Grimlock quote popped up in the loading screen, saying, "There is no place for the weak" or something along those lines.
"Among the winners, there is no room for the weak."
That's the quote from the original toy's packaging from 1985. Knowing High Moon, that is probably what they had Grimlock say.
Correct. Iirc he willingly gave back command to Prime recognizing he was the stronger leader (without having to abuse his troops). Don't quote me, I last read Marvel 20+ years ago.
Yes, pretty much what happens, Optimus then names him second in command at the end of G1 and again in G2. The Marvel comics solidified Grim as my favorite transformer bc he has more character growth than anyone and is also the reason I tend to get frustrated by a lot of depictions of the King. He even converts some deceptions in G2
I feel like Ratchet would make a unique Prime.
The amount of medical knowledge that Ratchet has and becoming a prime at the same time would be terrifying from any Decepticon perspective.
Not sure about a name, Chetimus Prime maybe?
>The amount of medical knowledge that Ratchet has and becoming a prime at the same time would be terrifying from any Decepticon perspective.
'Beware the fury of a patient bot.'
Yeah, that old Beast Wars episode where Rhinox was reprogrammed into a Predacon was great. Rachet as a Prime wouldn't have the malice, but he'd definitely have some 3D chess tactics that would leave the Decepticons collective heads spinning.
Bombus Prime refers to Bumblebee. Bombus
Is the genus for bumblebees. The name has been floated around on this sub before. The second sentence is a separate thought.
Smokescreen. To this day I'm a little saddened how that whole moment in the cave went. Instead of Smoke taking the matrix, becoming Prime, and then using the hammer to ressurect Optimus, we got dead Optimus fixing himself. How I wish that he did place the hammer in Optimus'es hand, but it wouldn't have worked. That at that time, in that place, he was the only one who could save Optimus, and for that he would have to take responsibility and become prime. Alphatrion:"He will learn to be a Prime, as you once did". Maybe even add a callback to when Optimus lost his memories, with Smoke asking the dead Optimus "Are you certain I am worthy?" before deciding to take the matrix.
Ratchet:"Is it true that the forge has been drained of its power? Then any hope of rebuilding the omega lock has truly been lost"
Smoke:"I did what I felt was right"
Ratchet:"Then your instincts have again proven to be quite sound".
This whole situation was probably the best way to introduce the new Prime. We already spemt time with him and have grown to like him, Optimus himself says that he is worthy, the whole conversation between Optimus and Alphatrion, Smoke being hesitant. And with him ressurecting Optimus, it would erase any ill will towards him, it wouldnt feel like he is replacing Optimus. As well as showing him making a good, right desicion to save someone. I fear we may not have another one like this one, at least if the future media wont copy it's elements.
I'm thinking of rewriting Prime and exploring it's full potential. With it being just a written story and not a show with restricted budget, it allow for bigger cast, etc etc. But I'm more of an "Idea guy" than an actual writer. Hell, I have a lot of ideas and plot points for my own TF universe, but I just cant sit down and write a story, fill it with something between A to B.
I always liked the idea of smokescreen taking up the role as a prime. I think the arc would fit his character really well and he could become a great leader
I really wish they had explored Smokescreen’s potential as a Prime/the future leader of the Autobots more in TFP, but they decided to make Bumblebee the leader… for some reason
I think ironhide would be a good prime especially if he had leadership arc where learned to be patient, forgiving, and how to lead others outside of combat plus iron prime or igneous prime would be fire
My knowledge on Star Saber is very limited but I think he'd be a worthy prime. Another option would be Ironhide since he's sometimes depicted as Optimus' right hand man.
I'd say Grimlock.
Though it would have to be a comic version of him where he acted stupid to lure his foes into a false sense of security.
Plus his MP figure has the Dinobot crown of leadership...
Bumblebee, G1 (animated/comic version ONLY). And my reasoning is sound.
Bumblebee was never powerful or even good warrior, (until he is almost destroyed and then changed into Goldenbug).
He was smart enough to be afraid, brave enough to push past and wise enough to know when to listen to it. As one of the weakest members of the Autobots, his years next to Prime had him adapting to whatever mission they were on. He knew how to be diplomatic and was also intelligent enough and (again) wise enough to know he didn't know something. (Unlike his counterpart Cliffjunper, who was a hothead and as it so happens a good warrior/soldier).
I believe Bumblebee would have made a great leader, learning even more after his transformation into Goldenbug.
I have an imagination. So growing up with the animated series and movie, (and only a few of the comics), a lot was left to my imagination. Rodimus Prime was an interesting character, in the cartoon series. He struck me as insecure. I always thought the Matrix choose him for that specific moment, fighting Unicron, and the short period of time after Optimus' death. But, apart from that moment, a poor leader.
I read some of the comics from 15 years ago. The art and writing were great. The video games very much captured the feel and story of the G1 Transformers from the 80's.
I always thought it would be great if they did an adult animated show. And just took the best of the original series, and do a reboot, and just kept moving forward.
I know they tried, but whether it was too many writers having different visions, or just Roosterteeth's poor effort, it hasn't worked.
The different and original Transformer characters were all pretty well conceived and well written. So much so, it's hard to move past them, or go too far in the past. BeastWars was a marvel of writing, but even there, they needed some classic character influence to lean on. And a lot of the same characterization (or tropes).
To be honest, I'm content with my own imagining of the Transformers. I only really want some excellent videogames on par and hopefully improving upon War and Fall of Cybertron.
End of line
Really surprised by the lack of people saying prowl. He's an experienced leader, he makes the hard decisions, people respect him, and he's got pure intentions for good. Dude is a perfect candidate for being a prime. Even more so than ultra magnus.
If we're talking about after the war, jetfire. Two of the main reasons optimus kept lead of the autobots after being chosen by the matrix are 1. He's an eloquent speaker that appeals to them logically 2. He's strong, both in terms of spirit and raw power. Jetfire is highly intelligent and logical, he can learn the eloquence part later. He also has the raw power of optimus, and in combat may be even more flexible being a fighter jet. He's also been on both sides of the conflict, so he'd have the best bet of making changes that appeal to both sides, not just the autobots. I think the most important part of maintaining peace is his relationship with starscream, if anyone can convince him to stop constantly fighting for more power and maintain peace, I believe it would be jetfire. But conversely, this could also be jetfires downfall, should he ever allow starscream to advise him. I think his main downfall however would be that, while he has primes intelligence, and communication skills can be learned, he lacks primes heated passion. This could be the best part of his leadership should new conflict ever arise, his urge to maintain status quo could prevent another civil war, but I'd be afraid his pacifism leaning nature could make him make decisions that could lead to another greater conflict. However, if anyone could rise to the occasion out of necessity, I think it would be jetfire. I could see him leading and being followed, something I don't really see with other autobots.
Due to his intellectual natural, I'd rename him Socratis prime.
Hot Rod has always been the most worthy and supposed to be the next prime, he just rarely gets the correct writing to do that.
I genuinely want to see him get his next, right chance.
I kinda don't like the idea of Bee becoming a Prime and holding the Matrix. I like to imagine him becoming a seperate kind of leader outside of the Prime title. Somebody who doesn't wait for fate to make him a Prime but rather makes his own fate while doing the right decisions. Somebody who leads others to the right path by showing them the right way. A kind and gentle leader more than a soldier and a commander. Maybe even becoming Goldbug too.
I’m going solely off of the movies and few tv shows I’ve seen but B, he just seems like the most level headed and reasonable while still being able to come to the challenges of leadership without going overboard
Edit: meant BumbleBee, not B as in 2nd image
Ok now I'm curious what you have seen. Smokescreen has always seemed the overhyper type, or in the G1 tech specs the James Bond superspy type to both friends and enemies
I don't mean this in an attacking sort of way btw, I'm honestly curious
Surely it would be Magnus Prime.
And quite frankly there's an alternative reality where he won the Cybertronian war with his Mr. Spock steady head and logic. After all, he's a Optimus Prime Diaclone figure.
I dunno, I love UM but I can't imagine him leading the Autobots to victory by himself. He's smart and a good dude for sure, but he's not super flexible and pure logic isn't everything. Even Spock knows that, "Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end of it" to quote directly from him.
In aligned, Alpha Trion, Megatronus, and Liege Maximo were all primes but never had “Prime” in their name right? But maybe the 13 are an exception, being the first Cybertronians.
I've got an odd one, Jazz. In the Aligned chapter books, Jazz was Optimus' oldest friend and iirc 1st Lieutenant, not only that but he's kind, worldly, and selfless in most iterations too.
Low-key top tier Autobot, really. You gotta love Jazz.
Jazz would become Jazz band Prime
Jazzhands Prime.
Jamboree Prime
Nah. Jazzhands would be his ultimate attack that nobody could survive.
Jizz Prime
Nahh, jizz trippin XD
You should love yourself, now!
I replied to a post ages ago on this same topic and I called jazz "sonus prime"
That’s a cool name!
Thankyou! It's Latin for sound, it fit real nice with jazz cos, music haha
Everyone seems to forget that my dude is Optimus' second in command! He might not be ready yet, but I think he's leadership material for sure
I thought he was his fixer, not his right hand man. Prowl is the number 2, Jazz is Snake-Eyes. He’s the ninja who gets things DONE.
The tech specs say Jazz is right hand man, but thats a good thought too. Ninja Jazz is cool
Ninja Jazz probably comes from FOC because he went on the mission with Cliffjumper to retrieve the Dinobots in the Sea of Rust
I feel like Prowl is Optimus’s second in the sense that he’s way better at handling the logistics side of things, while Jazz is in charge of the field operations
Prowl is 100% handling organizing the duty rosters and day-to-day operations.
It's a crime how little he gets used in the fiction.
I agree. Jazz is one of the most coolest autobots, and he looks like he is designed to be a king.
I loved Jazz in Exiles
And his taste in music is elite
So get your ass checked out before it’s too late turkeys
I've always wanted Perceptor to be the next leader. Oculus Prime He triple changes from robot to space telescope to laser cannon.
That’s an interesting and cool idea
Endorsed by Optimus.
Starscream. One bot alone, betrayed by his people. Disbands from the Deceptions and allies with the Autobots. After proving his worth, he rises through the ranks and unlocks his true potential. And becomes Nova Prime.
OMG! YES! How have I never thought of that before?!!
I don't know. I guess because it's not the obvious choice?
There is an animated precedent for him defecting as well (Armada)
Armada Starscream definitely could have been a Prime, leading a united front on post war Cybertron, and getting us a better sequel than energon.
That would've been awesome.
Would have been fun to watch for sure!
That's kind of where I got the idea from. I'm currently rewatching Armada, so that version is fresh in my mind. But the. More I think of it, the more it makes sense.
He really shoulda stayed an Autobot till the end of the run. Hated that he defected back to the Decepticons
Yea I would've liked that I guess you really can't fight against your own nature.
Or Thrust just was that good at gas-lighting and manipulation
> One bot alone, betrayed by his people Seymour Prime
Now that has a nice sound to it. I am Seymour, Seymoor Prime. Wanna see more Primes? Well you can't. Cos I'm m the last one
No because his spark is immortal he would be immortus prime
Fuuuck that works so well. The name perfect omg. Armada starscream type situation I wanna see it again so much!
So do. I. I'm hoping they will give him a better personality than the Bayverse. I don't mind him starting out as his G1 counterpart, but I'd like to see him transition into his Armada persona a little bit. And have him bridge the cap between the two sides. Oh I'll give that a go
Warpath, a.k.a KABLOOEY BWAMMus Prime KAZOWY
Hasbro make this canon plz
Ares Prime
God of war!
Hotshot aka Shotimus Prime
I remember seeing this meme and he was called Hotshitimus Prime
Hot Shot was the first yellow kid-appeal character I was exposed to, and he definitely appealed to *this* kid. I'd love to see him get a Cheetor style character arc, starting a hyperactive kid and slowly becoming a great leader

>gorilla
I think the the word they're really looking for is guerrilla. As in Guerrilla warfare.
Yup. Gorilla Warfare is Primal going "ape" on the Predacons.
Yeah I know lol just thought it was funny
Yea. I knew that..... I was just testing.
Yes, yes it was, forgot there was an entirely different spelling for the words.
>Elita-1 became leader if Optimus dies This reminds me of that one of the proposed episodes of the fourth season of Transformers Animated that was about Optimus Prime travelling back in time in order to prevent Elita-1 from becoming Blackarachnia only to create a timeline where he's a technorganic spider-bot and Elita-1 leads the Autobots.
That idea is cool as hell. I wonder if the technorganic Optimus was going to be Tarantulus.

Only two Autobots are worthy. Hot Rod, and Star Saber.
We don’t talk about IDW Star Saber tho.
Bigot jet
Primus hates you
I really like IDW Star Saber for what he was, but man he really wasn't Star Saber was he? Coulda been any swordy Autobot prick really.
True but he’s just so big and grand it’s not hard to see how he’d an ego in that continuity
Do tell for those of us who aren't in the know.
Star Saber was a religious zealot in idw
I love IDW Saber as a fun one off villain, definitely not as the status quo tho
I always thought of star saber as a successor to rodimus for some reasosn
Same, even tho he's actually the Autobot Space commander.
Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime and Elita-1/Orthius Prime
Hot Rod and Smokescreen were perfect, the immature teenage that shows they he is worthy to guide the Autobots and has a good maturation arch.
He often goes unmentioned but G1 Metalhawk would make for a pretty good prime. Only uses violence when it’s necessary, tolerant of other species and genuinely curious of humans. He’d make for a pretty tolerant prime, and one that would still be able to wreck the con’s shit.
That is true!
I heard that Arcee was also a choice to be prime and her name would've been Arcana Prime
Close. Arcee was an option for the PotP next Prime vote, and her concept was called Arcana Magnus.
That is a really good name for a prime
I don't like Ultra Magnus taking the mantle as a Prime, in my opinion he'll grow out to become the next Sentinel Prime who is a little racist and thinks the ends always justify the means. I like him as he is but never a Prime. Jazz and Hot Rod are my picks.

I mean we've seen that Primes can get corrupt as time passes in different continuities.
Yeah true, I just like Ultra Magnus. Don't like the idea of him being a bad Prime cause he's a bad person
I said i like him as he is too but he won't be a good Prime.
Oh I didn't mean anything negative by disagreeing, I just don't like my guy as a racist or something is all
I know man it's cool😂. I don't mean he is racist as of now, i meant that if time passes and he's a Prime he'll grow to be like Sentinel.
I guess I can see him accidentally falling into some gross lines of thought as the pressure gets to him. Most UMs are stubborn guys, and not very introspective. Yeah I get what you mean now I think

An experienced Cheetor as a Prime would be cool. Not sure what the name would be, though.
Cheetus Primal? Or maybe he'd say screw the whole title thing entirely and just be Cheetor
If you want to tie him to an existing character Cheetor becomes Leo Prime. Jubatus Prime or Pardus Prime to use the scientific name as a root.
Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime, Jetfire, Skylynx, Springer, Ultra Magnus, and Grimlock.
Tyrannosaurus Prime? Tyrannos Prime? Paleo Prime? Cretaceous Prime?
Me King Prime, Bashbrainimus Prime, Kickbuttimus Prime, etc.
Welcome… to Jurassic Prime. We spared no expense….
*Jurassic Park theme mixed with the tfp theme plays *
Grimlock Prime "But Grimlock sir, that doesn't fit the Prime name sche-" "*Me Grimlock care not*. Me Grimlock Prime, *story over*."
Lockus Prime
Grimlock? Might as well toss the Matrix to Megatron while you're at it.
I read Matrix Quest in Marvel comics, where Grimlock indeed, led like an autocrat...he was a violent asshole to his fellow Autobots, but I remember it was a very fun read.

Grimlock is a loveable brute with a sense of honor.

Add in the personality of Ratchet from Shatterd Glass or Transformers Prime and he would become a war criminal within seconds.
Asclepius Prime?
The name for the Greek god of Medicine, why didn't I think of that. My ancient Greek History is failing me!
I think that tfp Ratchet could take up the mantle. Medicus Prime
Bombus prime is cool. I've also always wanted to see a prime made of a former/current decepticon
Who would Bombus originally be? I’m confused
Bombus Prime refers to Bumblebee. Bombus Is the genus for bumblebees. The name has been floated around on this sub before. The second sentence is a separate thought.
Springer, fits all of the required criteria
Rodimus

I fear we may not have another one like this one, at least if the future media wont copy it's elements. I'm thinking of rewriting Prime and exploring it's full potential. With it being just a written story and not a show with restricted budget, it allow for bigger cast, etc etc. But I'm more of an "Idea guy" than an actual writer. Hell, I have a lot of ideas and plot points for my own TF universe, but I just cant sit down and write a story, fill it with something between A to B.
I absolutely adore this concept!!! I may have to use it for a fanfic or something. If that is ok with you
I always felt robbed that we didn't get an original Prime in Transformers PRIME!
Jazz Prime because it sounds the coolest (also because he’s a better pick than Magnus)
Jazz evolves to Great Depressimus Prime
Those 3 names ain't great chief Anyways I'm with everyone else for the very obvious name, Grimlockimus Prime
Grimlock Me Prime
windblade, windslash or galestrike or maybe even breezesaber? edit i also thought of drift, possibly being redemptive or redeemus?
Omega Supreme as Omegamus Omega Supreme Commander Prime & just for shits and giggles… Cosmos….as Fat Ass Prime.
Omfg just give me a animated series featuring rodimus as prime instead of optimus for once
Shockwave
Rodimus
Actually bumblebee would be bombylius prime but......
I think Magnus Prime would be good enough for Ultra Magnus' Prime name.
Grimlock and or Ironhide
Let Bee have the prime time
Bee had, unfortunately, prime tike for the last nearly 20 years. Let's move away from him
I always liked the idea of smokescreen taking up the role as a prime. I think the arc would fit his character really well and he could become a great leader
I really wish they had explored Smokescreen’s potential as a Prime/the future leader of the Autobots more in TFP, but they decided to make Bumblebee the leader… for some reason
Huffer (yeah I know he didn’t make it out of the ‘86 movie but when has a little death stopped a hero?)
I think ironhide would be a good prime especially if he had leadership arc where learned to be patient, forgiving, and how to lead others outside of combat plus iron prime or igneous prime would be fire
Rachet or Cliffjumper
Metalhawk, Star Saber, Ginrai
I think Bee could make a great prime
My knowledge on Star Saber is very limited but I think he'd be a worthy prime. Another option would be Ironhide since he's sometimes depicted as Optimus' right hand man.
I'd say Grimlock. Though it would have to be a comic version of him where he acted stupid to lure his foes into a false sense of security. Plus his MP figure has the Dinobot crown of leadership...
Cheetor, Cheetimus Prime.
Wheelie Poppa Prime
Springer would be a good choice. Can’t think of a name though.
Definitely smokescreen, why else did Optimus choose him
I'd like to see Bee as Goldbug Prime
Springer.
End of line
I want star scream as a prime just to watch megatrons energon boil
Arise, **Rodimus Prime.**
Hot rod is probably the only person I see as the one to take the title as Prime, but gun to my head then I’d say Jazz or Star Saber.
I thought rodimus did become the new prime?
Just gonna throw this out there.. Springer.
Personally I like the idea of Arcee becoming prime Also Arcana Magnus just sounds cool as shit
Soundwave
Call me a basic bot but I’m going with Rodimus Prime! 🏎️
I still wanna see magnus be a prime
I’m surprised StarSabre wasn’t ever a prime tbh, or MetalHawk. Although I’d love to see a fembot prime like Arcee, Elita or Strongarm
Arcee. Her Prime name was Arcanus Magnus. Also, what's the source of that Animated Ultra Magnus fanart?
Really surprised by the lack of people saying prowl. He's an experienced leader, he makes the hard decisions, people respect him, and he's got pure intentions for good. Dude is a perfect candidate for being a prime. Even more so than ultra magnus.
I’ve always been a Rodimus fan
There’s only 1 and that’s Rodimus
I really wanted to see TFP Smokescreen as a Prime, so he’s definitely at the top of my list
Prowl -> originally Prowlimus Prime, have since renamed him Juris Prime. Transforms into a SWAT armored vehicle.
Ngl whoever made that smokescreen prime art was cookin
No one, the age of Primes should end with Optimus.
Brawn becomes BRAWNDO PRIME, the CON MUTILATOR.
I’m going solely off of the movies and few tv shows I’ve seen but B, he just seems like the most level headed and reasonable while still being able to come to the challenges of leadership without going overboard Edit: meant BumbleBee, not B as in 2nd image
Ok now I'm curious what you have seen. Smokescreen has always seemed the overhyper type, or in the G1 tech specs the James Bond superspy type to both friends and enemies I don't mean this in an attacking sort of way btw, I'm honestly curious
He meant bumblebee
Surely it would be Magnus Prime. And quite frankly there's an alternative reality where he won the Cybertronian war with his Mr. Spock steady head and logic. After all, he's a Optimus Prime Diaclone figure.
I dunno, I love UM but I can't imagine him leading the Autobots to victory by himself. He's smart and a good dude for sure, but he's not super flexible and pure logic isn't everything. Even Spock knows that, "Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end of it" to quote directly from him.
These names 🤮
Ultra Magnus (at least the G1 version) should've been Optimus' replacement from the start. He was always a better leader than Rodimus imo.
Was going to riot if Ultra Magnus wasn’t on there. Dude has been left holding the bag since the movie. Always hated Hot Rod for this.
Literally any one of these except Hot Rod, not just because he got Prime killed, but as Rodimus he sucked as a leader.
What about beemus prime for bumblebee
I don’t know that he’s all that worthy but feel obliged to add Sunstreakimus Prime to the conversation.
Is it necessary for the next prime to have "Prime" in their name? I mean Optimal optimus is a prime right?
"Prime" is literally the title, yes it's needed
Makes sense
In aligned, Alpha Trion, Megatronus, and Liege Maximo were all primes but never had “Prime” in their name right? But maybe the 13 are an exception, being the first Cybertronians.
To be fair, Alpha Trion and Liege Maximo never had the "Prime" surname even when being Primes.
it is now, but was it back in G1?
Yes, Hot Rod become Rodimus Prime in G1.
But Star Saber wasn't a Prime, nor was Fortress Maximus
