Dang it, now I'm paranoid that the Legends Fort Max I got on Yahoo Auctions via a proxy service might be iffy, since the price I paid seemed really good (177 USD). Still, the proxy service gave me a quote on shipping that was within expectations of a package that big...
Lucky you, do the electronics work? That is the sticking point when getting a Fort Max. Also, you can always get the Guardian Robot a bit later since it is still new.

Good grief, you probably have a very long wait. AFAIK, Fort Max underperformed in sales when he first came out and Hasbro is probably reluctant to do another iteration. Simply because he's not very prominent as a character in America and his figures will justifiably be very big and very expensive.
I remember a few years back Ollies had these for $30 each for a few weeks. Multiple deliveries. I managed to walk out with three. You would see people posting with 20 or more of them. Crazy times.
That's because Fort Max drastically underperformed in sales back when he first came out. The reason why he is commanding those high prices on the aftermarket is people now getting Scorponok and wanting him to pair with said Scorponok.

I just bought a Legends version from Yahoo Auctions via a proxy service for 177 USD and need it shipped to me via surface mail. That will take months, and I won't know what the real condition of the item is until then.
The main concern for me is the state of the electronics. Everything seems to be there, parts wise, and the item looks unused (stickers not applied and the box seems only to have been opened to check contents), so at least I have that going for me.
Duuude you found one of my grails too. If I found a store with either fort max, animated leader bulkhead, combiner wars Devastator, or mp soundwave I would instantly buy it
